You make an excellent point. As of now the only meat I keep in my freezer is fish that either my family or I have caught. As for beef, I buy the occasional steak. And I prefer Venison (deer) Which is hunted as well here. Mass production of beef and poultry is gross. I spent my summers on a self sustained farm. It was the best food I ever had and it was all used only as needed, as well as the left over veggies and meat made into preserves for the winter months....When I was down in the root cellar I found a fifty year old jar of pickled yams. >.0
