lol. This is weird.

My hair is naturally red- well, stawberry blond. It's not fire engine red or anything. I don't have many freckles, but I do have pale skin.

I dye it, and it gets my mother so angry with me. hah.

Hm, my crush is a ginger. This would make a great pick up line!

"You don't want to have sex? Oh well, when gingers go extinct, don't come crying to me!"

Anywho the only thing I've really been called is te red-headed step-child. I hope us red heads don't go extinct though.

I'm a ginger and proud of it! My mom had red hair (untill it became lighter with white hair) and my dad had reddish brown hair. Both me and my brother have reddish brown hair but mine is brighter. I love this!

GINGERS FTW.
I love my red hair. It sets me apart from everyone and makes me really unique. I love it. Though, the fair skin part sucks I wouldn't trade it. I don't care if people call me ginger as long as they're joking or I know them well enough. Then I don't care, but if some stranger did it that would piss me off. I really hope this isn't true though. I love seeing random red heads in public places or whatever because it's like... I don't know. It's just cool.

RisenAngelSoul: dude, not cool. don't compare us to a fake syco doll. that's just fucked up

As one of the few of us its sad! My friend and I always look for redheads and there's so few left. That's interseting about the heat though. I figured we just had screwy genes:p
And yeah... I know one of my friends is really pale and a redhead and she hates people commenting on it but (at least in our area) its not a problem w the bullying because of it. Most people say they like it... but htey could just eb scared of the temper

LovelessAngel: It's recessive. That's why it's rare.

Anyway, I heard that natural blondes are going to be disappearing sometime in the future as well.

I'm going to be honest. I don't MIND red-heads, but some of them scare me because of the really pale skin and fiary red hair.
I wouldn't call it being racist againt it, but I don't usually like hanging with them because all the ones I know are pushy and bossy. Idk. maybe it's just my bad luck of meeting the ones with not so good personalities, but the look still scares me. Not so much on girls. It's the guys.

I' m a natural redhead. neither of my parents have redhair, but we have a few redheads in our family tree.
I also agree that ginger is an insult and although I odn't freak out when someone calls me that, I do get annoyed.
I've never been bullied because I'm a redhead, although that may be because everyone knows not to mess with me about that. Lol
And I actually do like my red hair. It's not orange red and it's not brown red, it's just a nice shade of red. And it's wavy, not the curly, frizziness that is sometimes associated with red hair. And I definitely dont want them to become extinct anytime soon. Lol :P

Good article. :]

Ginger is an insult. I'm not gonna beat around the bush. My friends call me ginge the whole time, and I don't mind..but I'll only ever let certain people say it. If the wrong person says it..God help them. I even got offended when one of my best friends, Ally, said something to me about gingers, and I'm not the type of person who gets annoyed easily.

Plus, I don't believe that 'gingers will become extinct' thing. Don't ask why, I just don't believe that.

One other thing - did anybody know that red heads usually have a lower pain threshold than normal? And that red heads are less reactive to pain medication?
