Deric looked at her for a moment, taken aback by how quickly she was able to clear her mind. "She was....I thought she was the love of my life," he said softly before letting out a sharp laugh. "She was frustrating and annoying and stubborn and at times I wanted to ring her neck but she....her mind was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen," he said honestly before looking over at Emma. "In the ned, she chose to leave and be on her own. She said she needed to clear her head," he laughed at the irony before shrugging. "I miss her but now, I'm not so sure that I loved her as much as I thought I did."

Hailey smiled at them all for a moment before she stretched slightly. "Alright, time to stop playing the whole mommy almost died and needs to rest," she said teasingly. "I'm sick of being in this bed and it's time to see what we need to do," she said as she looked at all of them. "Ty, we need to start looking for a new place. Sarah look around and see who needs medical help. Herb, get the older kids and make sure they are helping out with the younger ones," she said as she pushed herself out of bed.

Anna looked up at him for a moment before nodding slightly. She frowned slightly as she thought about her lost home before softly closing her eyes. She drifted in and out of sleep, not getting fully asleep but not being fully awake either. Her mind drifted toward all of the possibilities and options of what was going to come next.

Emma listened and bit her lip. "It is very beautiful the way you talk about her. And maybe you love her just the same but maybe you found something else to love more." she said and blushed. 'I would be happy to be called his. I would try to make it work, no matter what.' Her mind thought before she could stop it. She blushed when she glanced at him and then away. "I know it is to soon for you to think about someone else." Emma said and smiled softly. "But I want to be the kind of person you can be at ease with." she said softly and sighed hugging her legs and resting her head on her knees.

Tyler laughed. "Hailey... do you ever slow down?" he asked and helped her get up slowly. He kissed her head and walked with her not going anywhere for the moment though it would be a good idea for him to go and find a place for all of them.

Matt closed his eyes and drifted in and out of sleep throughout the night. The morning came and he woke getting things ready for them to get going. He was hopping to get into contact with Deric today. They needed a meeting place when it was safe. He went to the bathroom and cleaned up before getting ready for the day trying to be quiet as to not wake Anna.

Deric looked at her for a moment. He had heard the thought loud and clear. He wanted to try and put her at ease. Reaching over, he touched her hand gently. Not wanting to startle her, he slowly opened his mind to her. The first image was the first time he saw her. She was breathtaking, but so broken. He was overcome with this need to help, to protect her from whatever she feared so much The next image was the first time she began to truly talk to him. He was sitting with her. He felt like finally someone understood and didn't judge him. He could speak without overthinking and just be himself. She was accepting and kind and generous and far better than anything he deserved. He let his hand fall and smiled at her.

Hailey looked at Tyler and smiled at him. 'I have to find some way to keep up with you," she teased before she moved away from him gently. "Ty," she said. "I'm finally really and truly. I will call you if I need any help what so ever,' she promised as she winked at him before growing serious. "But right now we really need to find a place that is safe." she said gently. "Please Ty? I need you to do this for everyone."

Anna woke up a little while later and looked over at Matt. "You are all ready," she said thoughtfully before pushing herself up. "I'll get ready. Give me like ten minutes and then we can head out. We need to find everyone else and then we definitely need to find a safe place for everyone," she said thoughtfully as she tried to brainstorm ideas for what they could do. She kissed him gently before heading into the bathroom.

Anna gasped as she felt his mind. She was open to his mind like nothing she had experienced. It was beautiful and full of pain. She felt her eyes fill with tears and she blinked trying to make them go away. She gasped softly as he pulled away and her mind was quiet with herself again. "Deric..." she was shocked. Anna didn't even know he could do that. She moved closer her heart racing her mind thinking about being close to him about what it would be like to be his, to kiss him. Anna saw it in her mind debating if she should or not. She thought in whispers like the wind through a tree. She looked deep into his eyes. "I wish I could give you a gift as precious as the one you just gave me." she whispered.

Tyler sighed and kissed her softly. He held her cheek and bit his lip. "I love you so much Hailey... and I want to prove it to you." he said and then kissed her head and was gone. Tyler was running through the early morning trying to find a place that was safe. He was worried it wouldn't be safe but he would find a place.

Matt smiled. "Take your time love." he said and was still as she kissed him. He grinned and watched her go to get ready. He packed up the car and then sat in a chair waiting for her. He was lucky to have a second chance.

Phoenix was hiding in a small abandoned apartment. She was so scarred. Why had she left? Phoenix took a deep breath and thought of Deric. She didn't try to each him she was to far away for him to hear anyways. But she missed him. Phoenix realized that she had expected to much, pushed to far. This was all her fault and she wished she could take it all back now. She ran a hand through her hair and dropped her head onto her knees a tear not made of water slipping down her cheek. The spark of fire fell onto her hand and she looked at it as it simmered out. Phoenix needed to find her control. She was to emotional and it was a good thing she was leaving here again. Phoenix knew she had so much growing to do before she would be worthy of Deric.

Deric looked at her for a second and smiled gently. "Let's leave it at that for now," he whispered to her gently. He stood up and reached out to help her up. "We can figure out what we will do later," he said gently as he gave her hand a squeeze. "It will all work out," he said gently as he kissed her cheek gently and began to walk back inside. He made sure she was behind him, to help if he needed trouble or anything.

Hailey watched as he ran away and she felt a light ping in her heart. "Please come back," she whispered gently to him before she began to work with Sarah to help anyone who was hurt and began comforting the children who were upset. She kissed a little boy's forehead before moving on to other people who needed her. This is insane, she thought as she tried to control her thoughts.

Anna smiled at him before hopping in the shower. She took a quick one and got dressed before coming out and looking at him. "Ready?" she asked gently as she watched him. "We should get moving. Does anyone know where we are or if we are safe?" she asked not wanting people to worry about them.

Anna smiled and walked inside with him. It was really early and they should have gotten some sleep but it seemed to late now. She grinned at the kids she saw seeing their fear and stooped down beside him placing a hand on theirs. "You are safe." she whispered and kissed their heads. She wanted them all to be safe from the people that wanted to cause them harm. How could she make them safe?

Tyler found a place that seemed safe but instead of stoping he looked around, asked around and triple checked before he kept looking thinking it was a good option. He was nervous about picking a place. He ran a hand through his hair needing to stop for food. He was starving.

Matt shook his head. "I don't know. I don't think they know but I know Hailey will hope. Deric might know." he said and got into the car with her headed towards the safe path to the safe house though he would take the long way to be sured that they were not followed.
