Katie nodded. "Sounds like a great plan." She smiled softly. It still warmed her heart to know that she had him there. She walked with him to his car, then got in. She knew he would want to drive, which is why she didn't say a single word. She looked towards him as she watched him get in and smiled a little. When she heard her phone go off. She looked down at her phone seeing her husband texting her. She put her phone on silent and tossed it in her purse.

Jim pulled out and began driving "so where to?"he wanted to make katie feel better. He wanted to make her feel better during this hard time.

Katie took a moment to think on it. What did she want for lunch. "Lets go to the little diner up the street." She said as she looked to him. She finally glanced back at her phone when she noticed the texts for Henry. She replied quickly to him and sighed, realizing that this was for the best. If he wasn't going to stick with her through this, even if she was pregnant with their child, then she wanted nothing to do with him at all. Things would get better, and she didn't need a man in her life who wasn't willing to compromise on things. She looked over at Jim as he drove and smiled, thinking he was truly something else.

Jim didn't question Katie anymore he figured she had enough on her mind and decided just to let her calm Down, he pulled into the drive way and parked his car. Getting out he helped Katie out, "all right, order anything you like it's Ob me okay?"

Katie instantly smiled when he helped her out of the car. She walked in with him and sat down at the table. She nodded to him and then looked at the menu. While looking at the menu, Katie looked at Jim once again. "Jim, you are so amazing...you know that." She said softly. She then went back to looking at the menu, knowing what she wanted.

Jim did what he did because he cared he felt no obligation he was just a good man with good intentions. Helping this woman was not only a duty as an officer but a friend. "I don't think I am but thanks, trying telling that to my daughter" he laughed.

Katie laughed a little when he laughed. One thing she loved about working with the Commissioner was that he always made her smile. Her day could be going truly horrible, but she knew the minute she walked into his office, that would change. It had always been like that since she started working at Gotham PD. When the waitress came over, Katie ordered water to drink and then what she wanted to eat.

Jim was a good person and a good commissioner or at least he believed that he looked out for the best. Did the best he could for the city and his relatives that still lived in Gotham. "Thank you" he told the waitress that had taken their order. "So.."

"So..." Katie said looking to him with a smile. "Jim, I want to make myself very clear on something. Even though I am pregnant, please understand that does not and will not change my work behavior. I will still work just as hard and continue to be your right-hand person." She reassured him. "I'll still be the same detective...just more round..." she laughed lightly.

Jim took a sip of his drink when the waitress dropped the off and as e listeners he looked st Katie shaking his head. "I don't want you to over work yourself Katie. I understand if you need to take your leave whenever you need it. Don't strain yourself. I know you work hard for the GCPD"

Katie shook her head. "I won't strain myself. I promise." She reassured him once more before taking a sip of her water. "I mean I'm already 12 weeks along, which is three months, and I've been good...so I won't be leaving anytime soon." She smirked. She looked deep into his blue eyes, placing a hand on his hand that rested on the table. "Jim, we're going to be okay." She said, referring more to her and the unborn child than anything else. She was truly trying to stay strong for herself, it just hurt her every time she thought about what happened the last day or so.

Jim nodded and continued to listen to her, "if you say so, I just want to be clear, I don't want you straining yourself or over working yourself, I will cut you off if you do" he said sternly, he was kinky looking out for her well being. "I know you will be, you're a strong independent woman I would expect less. Though if you ever need help don't hesitate to ask all right?"

Katie looked at him and smiled sincerely, thinking he was so kind looking out for her. She nodded to him when he told her not to hesitate on asking for help and such. "Of course." She spoke softy. "But I do promise I will NOT over do it, and if I need any help, I will be sure to ask for it." She promised before taking another sip of her water. "Jim I'm sorry that I didn't tell you I was pregnant sooner. I just wanted to focus on making sure everything was okay between Henry and I before I said anything else. But I knew I was running out of time." She said.

Jim was going to help Katie through this and he knew he didn't have 1yo but she was his partner. He turned to her in confusion "don't be sorry, it happens just look after yourself and then baby "

Katie nodded once more. "You don't have to worry. I will look after myself and this baby. I promise." She reassured him once more before looking down at the menu. The one thing she had been dealing with and was finding it almost hard to hide with the nausea she dealt with. She was almost done with the first trimester of the pregnancy, but morning sickness had its moments with her. She closed her eyes for a quick moment and took a sip of the water she had ordered. Once it passed, she took another deep breath to relax herself.

Jim looked at Katie and nodded,"so as long as you take care of yourself you will be staying in the force... unless somethjng dangerous comes up" he wasn't going to put Katie in danger or her unborn child. "Are you all right? Morning sickness?" He asked . He's been through this with his ex wife three times so he knew how it worked.

Katie nodded. "Yes...and it's so annoying." She said softly. "But it passed." She spoke before taking another drink of her water. "It's all good. I'll be fine." She smiled a little, looking at him again. She finally settled on something to eat and was satisfied with her choice. When the waitress came over, Katie ordered food - settling on a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and French Fries.
