Jim nodded, "I've seen it three times with my ex wife and once with my second oldest daughter, it's something I know a little bit about" he told the waitress his order before turning to Katie. "How far along areyou ?"

Katie looked straight at him when he asked. "12 weeks." She said softly. She still couldn't believe that she was 3 months pregnant and waited till now to tell her own boss. She waited to see what he was going to say about that.

Jim frowned, "why didn't you tell me? I've put you through so much work and heany lifting, katie you... sorry I don't want to be rude" he sighed. "I'm going to cut you some slack I don't want you working so much, if you need any help just let ,everyone know I can have Barbara help you with pregnancy stuff..."

Katie looked at him and shrugged it off. "It's okay Jim." She said as she looked at him. "Really I've been cautious all this time. I promise." She stated with a sweet smile. She then nodded to him. "I do promise if I need anything I will let you know, and I won't over it."

Jim looked at Katie and hoped she would keep her promise he believed her and dropped the subject. "All right, do about this lead, I think I know where to find these crooks, think you're up for it?"

Katie nodded. "I'm ready for anything. Let's eat and then we can go do that." She said. A sweet smile spread across her face when the waitress came with their food. She thanked them and then started eating her food. As they are, Katie looked across the table at her boss noticing how attractive he was. She found it to be so cute how he was concerned for her and her unborn child.

Jim nodded and looked at his BLT and took a bite out of it. He looked at Katie she was absolutely glowing. She was an attractive woman but he knew better, he couldn't get into another relationship especially with someone below him,

Katie smiled at Jim for a brief moment as she finished up her third glass of water. Once the bill was paid for, she carefully stood up from the table, grabbing her purse. She turned to Jim once he was standing and smiled even more. "Thank you for lunch Jim." She said as she hugged him then kissed his cheek. "It was so delicious."

Jim smiled and gave Katie a hug and patted her back, "it was my pleasure, now let's finish this so we can get you home" he chuckled, he didn't want her to overwork herself and he knew Katie said she wouldn't but he was still concerned. Why did he care so damn much? She was just peer in the work place.

Katie just rolled her eyes a little. She thought it was so sincere how he was looking out for her, but she felt like since she told him she was pregnant, that she was SUPER fragile and something was going to happen. But she decided not to say anything this time. She was going to let this go, and just hoped as time progressed as well as this pregnancy that he would loosen up a bit. Walking with him out to his car, Katie stayed a little bit closer to him than normal. She didn't think anything to crazy about it, but just noticed.

Jim had this paternal feeling towards Katie's unborn child and he didn't know why. Something about her warm personality made it easy to like her. She was sweet and real beautiful. He didn't mean to treat we like a fragile rose but she hadn't told him about the pregnancy maybe if Katie had told Jom about it sooner he wouldn't be so worried now.

Once they were back to his car, Katie got into the passenger's seat. She buckled herself in and then glanced at her phone once more. A small frown appeared on her face. Henry was letting her know that he was moving everything out and that the divorce papers were coming today. Apparently he had been planning this for a while, but didn't think he'd ever have to do it. She said nothing just replied letting him know that was okay and if he needed anything to let her know. The idea of getting a divorce killed her, but she figured it was for the best. If this is how he is before their child is born and there's not second chance with him, what's to say he wouldn't do this and hurt their child's feelings in the future.

"It's for the best." She mumbled to herself as she tucked her phone back into her pocket the brushed a hand across her abdomen. She was starting to get a little bump forming, which was one reason why she knew she needed to tell Jim sooner rather than later.

The ride was quiet and Jim noticed how quiet Katie had gotten, he looked at her concern spreading across his face. He knew something was wrong, by the look on her face. He reached across and took her hand gently squeezing it, reassuring her that it would be okay. "You want to talk about it?" He asked softly.

Jim didn't know why the sudden interest in his colleague, was it her situation of being a single mother? Or just how sweet and caring she was? Jim didn't know but he hated seeing katie like this,

Katie looked to him when he reached for her hand and softly squeezed it. She smiled a little knowing that she wasn't alone in this. "Not right now." She said softly when he asked if she wanted to talk about. Right now if she talked about it, she felt like she was going to cry. "Let's just focus on today's job and we can worry about this minor thing later."

Jim didn't think whatever was bothering Katie was minor but he would drop it, they had to get some work done first. "All right, I've called the others to meet us at the scene, shouldn't take too long"

Katie nodded. "Sounds like a good plan." She mumbled as she ran a hand across her small bump. When they got to the scene, she listened to Jim as he spoke with everyone. Once they were done, Katie was walking back to the car when she rushed to behind the car where she got sick. It wasn't so much the morning sickness now, it was the fact that her husband left her and heir unborn child, and everything going on.

Jim got into his car and etched Katin get in, "would you like to get some ice cream or did you want me to take you home?" He asked as he pulled out, he was driving when he heard his phone ring picking up he smiled when he heard the voice. "Hey sweetheart, how's everything? Did you need anything? "

Katie sighed softly, not quite sure what she wanted to do. Did she really want to go home where it was going to quiet and lonely or go for ice cream, which meant she wouldn't be alone. When she heard Jim's phone go off, she just watched him. She buried herself in the car seat, and just rested a hand on her small bump. She sat there quietly, looking through her phone as she waited for him to get off the phone.

Jim listened as his daughter ranted on about men being obnoxious he chuckled, "yes, we're all horrible, except for me? Well thanks honey, I'll see you tonight at dinner, all right bye," he hung up. Turning to Katie, "my daughter is something else I'll have to introduce you. So where to?"

Katie looked to Jim and couldn't help but smirk a little. She then shrugged. "I don't know...I'm not sure if I want to go home, or get ice cream." She sighed softly to herself. "I'm just a mess, that's the truth. That's probably why Henry left me. I'm such a mess. I am a workaholic. I'm three months pregnant and I'm still working, not because I have to, but because I want to. Only woman who are completely crazy and a mess does things like that." She vented and then faced the window, tears strolling down her cheeks.
