Marauders

She sighed a little then nodded,"I know they would but I wouldn't feel right about it, someone gettin' in trouble on my cause - doesn't sit right with me," she mumbled lightly.

"Are you sure you're not meant to be a Gryffindor Ferne?" Sirius asked as he jogged up beside them ,"You've not got to worry about that prick anymore, I already took care of it love, ole' sirius can't have one of his favorite ladies being picked on," he smiled a little putting his arm around her making her shrug it off.

"You didn't need to do that," she said to him seriously as she groaned then shook her head.

She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "She's fine as a Hufflepuff, Sirius," She said to him. "And you didn't need to do that. Thanks though," She said, waving at Remus as he walked up.

Remus smiled a little. "Hey uh, Ferne you're wanted by Professor Flitwick," He said, raising his eyebrows. "Did you do something?"

Ferne sighed a little, "No, but someone did," she muttered shoving Sirius a bit, "Well I was going to eat but I'll see you lot later," she said as she dragged her way out of the grandhall and down the hall where flitwick was always at; his classroom.

Sirius sighed,"She is so stubborn, she'd do better in our house - kind of passive though," he said thoughtfully, "Oh! I heard a rumor from the twins in Ravenclaw, the blonde ones - apparently Ferne has a crush on someone," he said wiggling his eyebrows "course I can't know for sure but they seemed certain and they're in ravenclaw so that means they right... right?"

"First of all, it's none of your business," She said to him, nudging him. "What are you going to do with the information even if you have it?" She asked. "I actually heard a rumour about you," She said to him. "Heard someones got a love potion planned for you, what are you gonna do?"

Remus followed behind, coming to catch up with her. "Hey, so don't worry I'm pretty sure he knows you didn't hex him, since you were nowhere near him." He said.

He shrugged,"No idea, guess I'll just have to tell a teacher what you heard rather not have that nasty bit of magic near me - cost me a lot of greif, " he sighed a bit, "Do you know who it is? Would save me some time, tell the gal or bloke I'm not interested let it al be bygones,"

She sighed, "I hope so, I'd really hate to be in even more trouble," she murmured lightly then looked at him before they entered the class room, "Professor?" she said lightly as she walked in

"Heard its a Gryffindor, I think it might be Jenna Rattles," She shrugged. "You have a bunch of girls that are in love with you though Sirius, maybe you should start making sure you don't hurt anyone's feelings."

He kept behind, waiting outside the room to see if she would need him, he didn't want her to get in any more trouble, especially since she didn't do anything wrong.

When Ferne left the class room she laughed a little then sighed, "He gave me the grade and told me if I didn't speak up again he'd fail us both," she said looking down trying not to laugh.

He whined, "Argh, it's not my fault I'm so bloody handsome," he said to her waving it off dissmisively. "Oh well I'll sort it out, maybe if I hex her a bit she'll leave me be," he mumbled.

"Or you could try talking to her like a normal person," She rolled her eyes. "You can't blame your face for everything, maybe you should try talking to her instead, instead of hexing those that have crushes on you."

He smiled a little. "Thats great! Now you know, next time just have Sirius hex him, but I doubt he'd do it twice," He laughed a little. "Come on, lunch is soon, we should go eat."

She smiled a little then nodded as she walked with him, "If there is anything I will agree to, its food," she laughed as she looked at him then chewed on the inside of her cheek.

"But if I talk to her she'll think I'm nice, and if she thinks I'm nice she'll put a love potion on me, which is not on my to-do list," he said as he shook his head.

"Or you could tell her you're not interested? You could lie and say you're dating someone else?" She laughed. "What's wrong with her thinking your nice? Just let her down easy."

He laughed a little. "How's your new potions essay coming along?" He asked curiously. "I finished mine just last period."

"Love, she wants to use a love potion I doubt she'd care if I was dating someone else; we're past being nice," he sighed a little, "She is desparate to have me and she knows I don't want her - its tragic really,"

She shrugged, "It's going well I suppose, I figured I'll finish it up tonight it's relatively easy I've just got to do it; but I'm almost done with this book on muggles and it's fascinating, I'm so happy muggle borns are so open to share their things with us, it makes learning about their world a bit easier,"

"Tragic yes, but maybe you should try talking to her before you go hexing her," She said, crossing her arms.

"Really? What is the book about? You're interested in muggle studies aren't you? What do you want to do once we graduate?" He asked as they walked.

"It was about their politics, quite tragic really the way they run things is vastly different than we do and I feel they've got a bit of a modern edge to them as a whole, its really something to look into. As far as my future, right now I'm unsure; maybe I'll become a teacher or work with muggle born families so they can adjust to the wizarding world you know?" She knew it had to be a shock to some parents that their child was a wizard or a witch; thats why there were people who helped them acclimate to the new situations. Kind of like social workers, but not as scary.

He sighed, "Fine, I'll talk to the girl if it makes you so happy , but if I get potioned its your fault, you have to save me Lucy," he said to her dramatically as he shoved a roll in his mouth.

"If you get potioned, we'll know who did it and I'll take you to Madam Pomfrey, and I'll hex her for you," She said, taking a bite of the food. "Deal?"

"That would probably be really helpful," He smiled a little. "But you're so talented in potions, I would have thought you would become a potioneer?" He asked as they sat down at the table to eat.

She hummed to herself then sighed as she sat down, "I've thought about it, potions comes so easy to me but I don't know - maybe I can do both, I mean I'm lazy but I like being productive so I could do both," she smiled a bit as she put some of the fruit on her plate.

He nodded,"Good, good that sounds like a plan, which hex willl you use?" he asked curiously as he looked at her.

"I'll figure it out if you end up potioned, Sirius," She said, sipping her pumpkin juice. "But if she does potion you I'll make sure it's a good one, alright?"

"You could do both," He nodded. "You have one of the highest marks in the class I would be surprised if you didn't use your talents," He smiled a little.

He sighed, "fine, you're no fun," he said to her as he licked his lips, "Make it something really good - make her regret ever looking at me," he nodded.

She smiled a bit,"I could, I enjoy potions a lot but I think teaching will be rewarding," she murmured lightly.

She laughed. "I'll use a stinging spell so she'll need to hide her face for the next week. Though if she comes after me I'll expect you to return the favor," She said to him. "I don't want my face swollen for protecting you from your crazy admirers."

"You would make a good teacher, you could even become a professor here if you wanted to," He smiled a little. He knew that talking about careers weren't an option for him due to his condition. But he had to make it seem like he had plans so others didn't know about it.

She smiled a little as she looked at him, "What would you like to do once we're out of here?" she asked him curiously as she took a bite of her food, "I figured you'd be a teacher of some sort - you're very patient, easy going,"

He smiled a little, "Of course I'd get her back, maybe the proper way -- have her get in right trouble with a teacher; that'll show'er," he nodded a bit.

"Hopefully it doesn't get that far, just watch what you eat," She said, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice. "She's coming this way you should go talk to her now," She said, nodding a little. "And it looks like she's carrying chocolate probably for you..."

He sighed. "Maybe, I would consider being a teacher. I haven't found what I really want to do yet," He explained smiling a little.
