Marauders

She furrowed her brow a little,"We're friends aren't we?" she murmured as she looked at him then looked into his eyes.

He smiled a little and followed after her quickly, "Don't be too rough now, I'm fragile,"

She ignored him and walked to the Gryffindor common room, opening the door and shoving him to a chair. "Go sit and try not to hurt yourself again," She said, going up to the bathrooms for some first aid supplies. "Now sit still."

He nodded a little. "Of course but, you don't have to do this, you could have left me." He said softly.

"I could have but that would make a crap person and an even worse friend," she said gently stroking his cheek lightly, "Just know you can talk to me about anything,"

He huffed,"Yes your majesty," he said as he stretched his arms over his shoulders then looked at her, "So what exactly are you going to do?"

Lucy walked down the corridor, on her way from her Astronomy lesson and to the great hall. She was tired and just wanted to study and sleep, but she had one more class before she could do that. She went into the room and sat at the table before putting her head in her hands and yawning.

"Did you sleep at all?" Ferne questioned as she looked at her friend with a small smile the brushed some of her blonde hair out of her face. "I had two owls come to my window last night, both weren't even for me,"

Sirius had a headache unlike any other, sleep had been hard to chase when he finally laid down and he it made him wonder how his friends felt. He knew James and Remus must be feeling quite the same; tired and without motivation to move.

She shook her head. “Unfortunately not, I was up studying and then I slept badly,” She whined, teaching for some juice. “How about you? Also did you notice how weird Remus and the others have been? I wonder if they’ve been fighting,”

Remus walked into the room and fell into the chair. “Hi,” He said to Sirius, before hearing he was wanted in the Great Hall. “Want food? Should be still serving breakfast.”

She shooked her head, "Not sure to be honest, they do look rough - Remus was near collapsing last night," she said to her gently, "I gave him a pepperup potion then healed his wounds," she murmured not liking that he was hurt. She understood if he couldn't tell her what was going on, but she'd make sure he was able to continue whatever he was doing for the time being. Until then she'd have to wait, Ferne disliked it but what else could she do?

He sighed, "I suppose we should go eat," he said to him lightly before wetting his lips, "Did you sleep alright, Moony?"

Remus nodded as he went to the table and sat down opposite Ferne and Lucy. “Hello,” He said to them, extremely apologetic to Sirius for what he put him through. “How are you?”

Lucy whined in response, shaking her head. “I want to go back to sleep, but I have class in a half hour. I can sleep afterwards though,” She mumbled.

She smiled a little, "I'm good, I got some sleep - a little more than usual actually," she admitred lightly, "did you finally get some rest?" she asked Remus gently as she sipped her juice.

He laughed, "Well don't you have a free period?" he asked her curiously as he wet his lips putting jam on some toast.

Lucy sighed. “Of course I do but not til after my first and it’ll be brutal getting through it,” She whined and drank more of her juice.

Remus nodded and smiled. “I did thanks, I’m starting to feel better now,” He said, knowing she might have still remembered him form before.

"I hope you feel better," she said to him, "you looked real rough last night," she said to him with a furrowed brow.

He nodded a little,"Yeah, who do you have?" he asked her curiously as he wet his lips.

“Defense against the dark arts,” She sighed. “With you no less, so keep me awake will you,” She yawned, looking around for something with caffeine.

Remus nodded as he looked down. “Yes I’m fine, just a hard night is all.” He lied softly. “Nothing for you to worry about.”

She smiled a little then nodded, having known him since 2nd year she wondered why he'd become so distant. During the last year she had assumed they were closer than before - but maybe she'd been wrong. Pushing her food around her plate she sighed, "I'm going to get a headstart to herbology - I have double herbology and double care of magical creatures, "

"I'll make sure you don't snore," he said with a cheeky smile before shoving a piece of fruit into his mouth.

Lucy went into the great hall, the walls now decorated with pumpkins to celebrate Halloween and the upcoming Hallows Eve Ball. She was excited to find a dress to wear and hopefully go with Thomas, a boy also in Gryffindor and a seventh year she has been talking to. She hadn’t told anyone except for Ferne in fear of it getting out and getting the wrong kind of attention. She sat down at the table for breakfast excised for the trip into Hogsmeade for her to find something to wear.

Ferne fixed her outfit then sighed, "I guess this is fine," she mumbled gently then walked down to the great hall where she could smell breakfast coming. "Ugh, smells so good," she mumbled as she sat down. "Is it french toast this morning?" she asked curiously as she poured herself a glass of orange juice.

Sirius smiled, "Yes, your favorite," he said as he sighed, "Apparently they're going to be serving us coffee soon - said it'll perk us up right quick," he smiled.

“But only if you drink it, and it’s not really good for you,” Remus added, sitting at the table and yawning. “What are you gonna get in Hogsmeade?”

“I’m going to go looking for a dress to wear for the ball, Ferne too,” She smiled a little.

She nodded a little and smiled, "I haven't even been asked yet, so I might just go alone," she said as she wet her lips a little, "We'll have fun regardless," she spoke taking a bite of food.

He smiled, "course doubt they'd make us choke it down," he snorted a little. "Who're you going with, Luc?"

“Um Declan McLaggen,” She said, her face burning as she said his name. She could barely believe he liked her let alone asked her out, she just didn’t want to tell anyone until she was sure she believed it herself.

“Well Ferne, I doubt I’d be able to ask anyone else, if someone better doesn’t come along would you let me take you?” He asked her curiously. Remus raised an eyebrow. “The seventh year? When did that start happening?” He asked her.

Ferne choked on her juice then looked at him with a shocked expression her cheeks burning, "I.. I sure I'll go with you," she stammered after coughing for a minute. A swift pat to her back and laugh next to her. "Moony you just about killed the girl," James smiled as Lily sat opposite of him.
