Marauders

Ferne nodded as she looked at her plate, "It's a tough decision," she murmured lightly as she sighed a little, "My parents are having me a small house built just outside the city, said it'd be nice for me to gain some clarity," she laughed a little.

He nodded a little then sighed as he stood, "I think we should talk over here, I'm not fond of chocolates but I have some things I need to discuss with you it's very important,"

She sat there as she watched, finishing her food. She thought it was kind of strange after all of this he still hadn't given one of them a chance. Most of them were crazy but he could at least find someone.

"That would be nice, a chance to yourself. I wish I had that opportunity, you're really lucky," He said with a small smile. "Though I know you'll do amazing in whatever you decide."

"You're welcome to come visit any time you want, Remus - you know that right?" she said as she looked at him with a gentle smile then grabbed her cup sipping lightly before sighing.

When he returned he sighed,"Why must they cry - they always cry - it's really not something I enjoy, I feel quite horrible actually; I bet they wouldn't want baggins over there putting a love potion in their chocolates - its kind of the same thing," he said shaking his head.

She sighed. "Blame that face, you said it was the cause of all of your problems," She said, taking a bite and handing him more food. "Get uglier or something?"

He smiled a little. "I know that, maybe one day I'll take you up on it," He said softly. He knew the full moon was quickly approaching, and once again he would have to vanish for a few nights.

He sighed, "You know its impossible love, cursed with horrid family but a beautiful face - honestly who could hate me?" he said shaking his head a little before pushing a hand through his hair then looking at his goblet, "is this safe?"

She smiled as she looked at him, "You should once the house is built it'll be a three bedroom with a very nice kitchen," she sighed, "I told them I don't want house elves, it seems demeaning to me - not just for me either but for them, it's downright unfair,"

She nodded a little, but then hesitated realizing she hadn't been watching it. "I'm not sure, try a different one just to be safe." She said, taking a sip of her own goblet. "I could help you be uglier, that would actually be quite fun."

"You could hire them as free elves, with the power to stay or go, and high wages," He suggested. "Though with three bedrooms you'd hardly need an elf for help," He added thoughtfully.

She nodded, "I don't think I'd need it, big houses are overrated I don't know enough people to fill up that many rooms and with the tents everything is bigger on hte inside - who needs fifty bedrooms?" she asked laughing a little, "It'll just be me, and if I ever get married then it'll be him and I till or if we have kids,"

He smiled a little, "Now love, don't go trying to make me worry," he scoffed a little as he prepared himselfd a new goblet.

She rolled her eyes. "If you got potioned at least there will be a sense of finality. Maybe you should date one and see, who knows you might find your soulmate."

He smiled a little. "I never saw the need for large homes myself," He agreed. "You seem to have your future mostly planned out then?"

Sirius shook his head at the thought, "I'd rather not, they're quite batty aren't they? Who would potion someones drink or chocolate; is anything sacred?" he asked as he looked at her then sighed as he took a bite of his food. "its like no one has a sense of right and wrong; where have all the morals gone?"

"A bit, but I don't expect it to play out just like that persay just hope that maybe it would," she said lightly as she shrugged a bit then wet her lips before looking at him, "What do you think?"

"Alls fair in love and war, and if they're in love, what morals are left?" She asked. "Plus, you come off rather unattainable, and they are batty, what else are they to do?"

He shrugged. "I hadn't given much thought to my future, maybe that somehow in the end it will work out," He said softly. "Aside from that, I wasn't so sure,"

Ferne smiled a little as she looked at him, "I think you'd be a good auror," she said to him lightly, "You're smart, brave and quick witted - someone people can rely on," she told him.

"Go bother someone else? Generally if someone doesn't like you you go off somewhere else right? Or is that me?" he asked curiously as he thought about it before sighing a bit, "honestly I can't wait to be done with school, start a real career and have a life not dictated by my family,"

Lucy walked into the courtyard seeing a very exhausted Sirius sitting outside. He hadn't slept in days, but she realized she hadn't seen either of them for about two days. She walked over, raising her eyebrows. "Are you okay? You look awful," She said, poking him awake. "What are you going through?"

He looked up and yawned a little as he rubbed his eyes then sighed a bit, "I've been dealing with stuff, I'm fine," he said shaking his head a little not really wanting to talk about it, it had been a long few days. He hoped it'd get easier over time but it hadn't, it'd been getting worse.

Ferne walked out of her common room and looked around stopping when she saw someone slumped against the wall, "Remus is that you?" she asked as she made her way over then touched his shoulder, "You look a right mess, come on then lets get you cleaned, I've got just the bit of medcine that'll heal that right up,"

She sighed, setting down her bag and sitting next to him. "You're not fine, you look like you've been in a war," She murmured, looking at the light bruise he had under his eye. "If you don't want to talk about it, fine. Just let me help you clean up the bruise."

He groaned, opening his eyes. He was exhausted and could barely keep himself up. Last night had been one of the hardest nights for him, and he knew it was taking a toll not only on him but his friends too. He felt someone touch his shoulder and he slumped, leaning down and putting his head on their shoulder.

She put her arms around him and realized this was much more serious than she had anticipated, "Alright, I've got you - barely, but I've got you," she murmured softly as she rubbed his back, "Come on then back to the dorm," she murmured slowly walking him to the hufflepuff dormitry. "When we get there I'm going to lay you on the couch alright? just take your time walking,"

He turned his head, "I'm alright you don't got to worry 'bout me," he mumbled as he shook his head a little then wet his lips, "Just a bit of rough housing with James is all," he wondered if anyone would ever find a cure for Remus; he deserved it, a normal life after all the shit he'd put up with but he'd continue to do this for as long as his body would let him

She shook her head and stood. "Sirius don't be a prat. I know you won't go to the hospital wing so let me clean it up at least," She said, crossing her arms. "I won't ask, I don't care. I know James didn't do that but you'll do fine as you do."

He groaned, too tired to argue. He was weak he could barely support his legs to keep him standing. He followed limply, her carrying most of his weght. "Water," He mumbled

She nodded a little and set him down in a seat before looking at him concerned then getting him a glass of water before putting it into his hand, "Now sit still so I can fix you up," she murmured.

He shrugged a little,"I guess if you're so worried about it, always knew you couldn't keep your hands off me" he teased.

She smacked his arm and rolled her eyes. "I'm too good for you, Sirius, dont you forget it." She murmured, taking out her wand to conjure some water to clean him with. "Actually, come back to the common room. It'll be easier there."

He gulped the water and leaned back, clsing his eyes. He winced when she touched a cut he had, hissing slightly and moving away.

She shook her head a little as she looked at him, "Stop moving so much," Ferne murmured as she held the cotton pad soaked in disinfectant liquid.

He whined a little,"Why do you have to be so violet it's not a good look on you ya'know," he said with a small smile as he looked at her then nodded. "Alright, lets go then,"

"Well if you think it doesn't suit me, I might as well continue on with it, shouldn't I?" She said, rolling her eyes. "Follow me, hurry."
