Carter was happy for the time alone, he was able to take care of his recurring problem. He knew it was only going to hold him over for so long. After taking a shower he dressed in his work clothes, hating that he had to go back to work. But it was the only chose they had, Harper had agreed to look for work as well but in the end it was he who go the call back. Sitting in the kitchen he started to eat himself some fruit, it would only hold him over few a few hours, but he wouldn't complain. After all it was better than nothing. Hearing the front door open he was a bit surprised the girls were back so soon. But he only heard on set of feet on the floor, and Abby walked right by him going straight to the sink. Keeping his eyes on her he started to clean up the mess from his breakfast, throwing away the orange peel. Turning he was a bit surprised by the sudden greeting from him. "Hello gorgeous." He stated back smiling as she moved over to him. A soft grunt leaving his lips as she merged her body to his. Letting her kiss him, he slapped down a growl. She had no idea what she was doing to him, and honestly he didn't know it would be this bad. He chose to ignore the feelings she was stirring inside him. After all it was enjoyable, but he didn't want to play into it knowing he had to be at work shortly. And in all honestly he didn't want to go to work hard. Shaking his head he couldn't think of anything he wanted them to do. "Have fun." He told her knowing both girls had been working pretty hard as of late. And if they didn't take a day to relax or even have a little fun they'd burn out quickly. And the last thing they needed was getting burned out. "What do you think about going out tonight?" He asked her, before quickly adding. "Just the two of us." He was suppose to get his first pay check today, and at lunch time he'd cash it so that he could take her out. Even if it was just for a little meal, nothing fancy or expensive.

Abby smiled as she rested in Carter's arms. she was falling for this man so hard and she couldn't remember ever telling him she loved him. She was afraid to say it now but she knew it was true inside her. She loved the way he reacted when she was close, the way his eyes grew wide seeing something he desires. Abby sighed as he said to have fun and she smiled at him placing a soft slow kiss to his lips. She pulled away feeling light headed glad she would be going for a run after this. When Carter started to talk about going out she was excited but when he said just the two of them it made her knees wobbly with excitement. "Yes." she grinned wide. "I would love to go out with you." she said. she didn't care what they did as long as they did it together. Abby was so excited she giggled and kissed him again peppering him with them before she spun out of his arms. "Oh I am so excited. Go on now don't be late to work and come home to me." she said holding his hand. She grabbed the bottles she had made for herself and Harper. "I will see you tonight." she said and kissed him once more humming before she ran out the door with something close to a squeal.

Abby was sure she was red-faced and had a stupid love grin on her face when she walked over to where Harper was. She handed her water bottle over. "Ready?" she smiled. She bit her lip. "Thanks Harper." she said happy she had gotten a moment with Carter that would turn into more moments tonight. She would find a way to tell Harper in a moment. As they started back down the path Abby looked back just to see Carter taking off and waved bitting her lip. Even if he didn't see she wanted to. Abby really had to find a way to help Harper with Logan.

Carter couldn't help the smile that pulled at his lips as she excitedly excepted his offer on going out. He knew that he could have called it a date. But really didn't want this to be their first date date. He really wanted to take her to a nice place for a good meal. Treat her right. But he knew this the first time they got to go out. The amusement park would always be tough to beat. But it really wasn't a date, just a day for her to go out and live. A taste of life. He smiled when he felt her lips on his, knowing he'd made her day with such a small thing. He was a bit taken back by her spinning out of his arms and leaving him standing there dumbfounded, before her hand grasped his. "I will," he told her knowing he needed to leave soon. "Okay, I'll see you tonight." He bare got out as her lips kissed him again and then she was gone. He couldn't help but shake his head as she let out a squeal. A smile playing on his face the entire time he walked to the car. She was a ball of energy this morning.

Harper furrowed her brows at hearing the squeal, she looked at the brunette as she appeared. Taking the water bottle from her, she was a bit stunned. Though she wanted to ask the girl about her blush and the creepy smile on her face. She chose to ignore it and took off running again. "It was nothing. Just glad I didn't have to see all that." She said assuming that her brother and Abby were at the point where keeping their hands to themselves was impossible. But she didn't push the issue nor ask questions. As long as her brother was happy she'd not stand in the way.

Abby smiled at Harper. "Carter is taking me out tonight." she finally said when they stopped for a water break. "Are you going to be okay staying home alone?" she asked just wanting to be sure she wouldn't be to lonely while they went and spent a little time together. She was enjoying the thought of her time with Carter but she just wanted to be sure that Harper didn't need anything before they took off. "I don't mean to say you're not okay on your own. I just mean I want to be available to help with anything..." she was rambling nervously now and then sighed. "I'm sorry I get nervous talking to you. I don't know why. I guess I just want to be your friend and close to you but I have no idea how to do it. I have really only ever been close to men, all my body guards were men and the maids in the house stayed away from me. The closest to a female friend I had was my governess and Jessica but really she just loved Ronald and he wanted to be close to me." she bit her lip. "And now I am rambling." she chuckled nervously. Abby kept thinking about Logan and wondering how he got through to Harper. How did he do it and yet she felt like it was so hard for her? She wished he was here not just for Harper but he was someone who understood the life she had been in and the love for those in a different life. On the other hand she didn't think Carter was anywhere ready for that. They would need a miracle to get Carter to accept Logan.

Harper panted as she stopped to take a drink of water, her eyes going wide as she heard Abby mention her brother taking her out. She was a bit surprised her brother has asked, but then again she knew things were going well with the two and he'd be doing things for her like that now. She smiled before shaking her head looking at the girl before as she rambled on. She could only laugh as she said she felt Harper made her nervous. "Relax." She told on once she'd said ever thing. "One, yeah I'll be fine on my own while the two of you go on a date." She smiled, "two, I'm sorry I make you nervous, I honestly don't know how to help you with that one, cus it's all in your head." She teased her, before smiling at her. "And three you've got a date, how are you not excited for it, like what are you going to wear, and where is he taking you?" She started firing off questions. A soft smile on her lips as she remember Logan taking her to the park, the opera. He did thing for her that no one ever did and she missed him more now thinking about it. "Oh and also Jessica sounds like a bitch."

Abby smiled and relaxed. She was glad she was making this more complicated that it was. That at least was somewhat of an easy fix. Abby chuckled at point three. She was right. Abby was excited but she could tell Carter was trying to be really calm about it. It was nothing big to him, mother fancy and yet he had no idea what it meant to her. "I know I am so excited really. We could go to a park and just walk around or have a picnic and I would be happy just to be out with Carter." she shook her head chuckling. "I think he doesn't want to call it a date because he wants the first to be special since we're official and he get's so up in his head about what is special the he forgets it doesn't have to be fancy or big." she shook her head. "But I have no idea what to were or where we are going. I figure I will wear one of my sun dresses and that should cover most occasions." Abby laughed as she added her thoughts on Jessica. Abby nodded. "I know and she as alright but in the end she wasn't a friend so I guess you could say she was for leading me to think she was my friend. I wasn't very good at making my own friends." Abby grinned. "You know you get this look when you think about him?" she asked and bit her lip. "You really miss him don't you?" Abby asked gently. She knew it was a rough subject but Abby wanted to help. "Maybe you should use the time we are gone to try and get a hold for him. It's not an emergency but it is good timing and your heart matters to." she said softly as they started to walk again to loosen up the muscles.

Harper smiled, "you also have to think you're Carter's first girlfriend." She told the girl next to her. "You might not need special but he may, as this is the only first date you guys will ever get." She shrugged knowing her brother well enough to know that all this was new to him. And on top of it they were on the run and a date was a luxury. She couldn't help but think of Logan as she mentioned having a picnic. "Yeah, I do really miss him." She sighed knowing that even if she did break radio silences it would make her miss him all that much more. But if she didn't listen to her heart when she needed him would it be smart? "Well I'll say this that picnic are pretty special." She beamed feeling the sides of her face getting hot. Her mind reeling with the first time Logan kissed her. She knew that she'd have had him come with them if her brother hadn't tried to kill him. But it was all in the past and she just hoped that one day they could all be together. "Just make sure you take a jacket. Just in case it gets cold." She told her, "I know Carter will more than likely forget to remind you." She chuckled, "it's suppose to get pretty cold tonight." She warned.

Abby nodded as she thought of it. "It's not that I don't need special, it's that everything is special with Carter. It doesn't need to be big and fancy, I have had so much of that in my life it doesn't mean anything anyways, it's always more about who you are with than what you do but I can see how he hasn't had that and would want that." she said. She wasn't dated before either but she did live a very different life than he did. "On the other hand if we keep waiting for everything to be perfect we will never have lived at all." she said and then was quiet as Harper talked about Logan. "I am sure he misses you too." she said softly. Abby grinned. Maybe she could surprise Carter with a picnic some time and help him to feel like they are moving forward in the right way. Abby chuckled as Harper told her to take a jacket. "Okay I will." she said smiling. She was quiet as they picked up the pace with their running. She focused on the running her mind still spinning with how to give Carter the kind of relationship he would feel happy with even in their current environment.

Harper smiled as she parted ways from Abby, she'd agreed to let the girl use the shower first as she would be going out on a date. Harper instead of heading into the house she started to work out. Using a fallen tree to work out her arms, doing bench dips. After about an hour of working out she decided to head inside. Her arms were burning but she knew that she'd been working out a lot so if she got in her work out today then she'd be able to take the entire day off tomorrow. So that would mean she wouldn't be bothering Abby and Carter in the morning. They both could use time together. And she would enjoy sleeping in. Walking through the house she peeped in on Abby as she was in the bathroom doing her hair. "You look nice." She smiled at her, before leaning on the door frame. "Are you almost done in here, I'd like to shower now." She informed her, not trying to be rude, but she did stink.
Carter walked through the house and into his shared room, his brows furrowing as he noticed that Abby wasn't in the room. Taking it as his chance he quickly changed out of his work clothes. Quickly dressing he sprayed himself down with the cologne Alex had packed. It wasn't his favorite but he liked it none the less. After pulling his jacket on he left the room almost running right into Abby. "Hey, I was just coming to find you." He smiled at her, his eyes trailing over her body. "Are you ready?" He asked wondering if they could leave now or if he'd have to wait a bit. Not that he minded he just wanted to know.

Abby smiled as Harper slipped into the bathroom. "Hey." she blushed finishing the last curl in her hair. She chuckled at Harper. "I don't think you could stink if you tried. And don't rush perfection I'm almost done." she teased grinning at her. She sprayed her hair took one last look in the mirror and gave her hair a fluff. "Harper treat yourself tonight okay?" she whispered and leaned over giving her a sisterly peck on the cheek before leaving the bathroom her heels clicking as she walked. She wore a simple dress and grabbed a velvet red jacket slipping it on as well. Abby giggled as she looked up to see Carter. He looked so good. she bit her lip. He asked if she was ready and she nodded. Abby seeped closer and ran her hand up his arm as she leaned into him so he could smell the sweet sent she had placed just behind her ear. "Hey handsome." she said softly leaning up and placing a kiss on his cheek. She grinned looking him over. "Did you have something planned out?" she asked sweetly a plan already hatching in her mind for another special moment with Carter later in the week, nothing fancy just thoughtful and romantic. Abby let her hand run down his arm grabbing onto his hand. She was so excited for tonight. Just the two of them getting out, it was perfect and she grinned at him hoping he could sense her delight and adoration.

Carter could help but smiling down at her his eyes roaming over her body. He wasn't sure what the night would hold for them. But after talking with a few guys at work they'd told him of place near the water. It wasn't anything special but because it's location was quite romantic. Even if the food they sold was just burgers and fries. It wasn't his idea of the best first date, but it would have to work till they weren't hiding from the world. "Yeah, I have a place picked out." He told her smiling, he knew that he didn't have to call and make reservations but since he wanted a table closest to the water he figured it wouldn't hurt. He smiled down at her, moving his hand to the small of her back and pulling her into him. "We should go." He told her before leaning down and pressing a kiss to her lips. It was more demanding than he'd normally do, but he couldn't help it. It was their first kiss since this morning and her dressed up didn't help any. Pulling back he look up noticing the bathroom door closed. He figured that Harper was busy with herself it wouldn't hurt this once to go out with out saying goodbye. Leading Abby to the car he opened her door for her, waiting till she tucked her feet safety in before he closed the door, and then jogged around to his side, joining her in the car. "A bit of a warning the guys at work recommended this place, though they did say the food was a hit or miss with some people." He threw out, nervously laughing about it. "It however is the only restaurant in town, unless you want to do fast food." He told her. Knowing that he didn't get this dressed up to go to McDonald. The drive was shorter than he thought it would be but he was a bit thankful that they were able to get there and start their night together. As he felt like they had a lot to talk about. Also his nerves were starting to get the best of him and he was hoping that anything serious could wait till after. However it really depended on her and the topics she wanted to discuss over dinner. After helping her out of the car he lead her up the stair to the restaurant, opening the door there for her too. Stepping in he smiled, "yeah I call earlier about the table." He chuckled feeling a bit foolish for making reservations for such a low end restaurant. "Your waiter will be with you shortly." The man who showed to their table said before walking off. "Here we are." Carter said taking a seat across from her, his eyes moving around the view. Happy they held the table for him.
Harper closed the door behind Abby, shaking her head at the woman. She knew that she'd meant well, but Harper wasn't as out going as Abby. It mainly had to do with the way they lived. Though thoughts of calling Logan circled in her head as she showered. She was dyeing to hear his voice. But she didn't know if it was safe enough to use the phone again. As she'd kept it powered off for a while now. She'd even thought of taking the battery out. But she knew she'd end up losing it if she did so. And every now and then she'd power on the device to see if he'd called or texted her. And she'd kept it hidden from Carter as she didn't want him finding out that she'd been in contact with Logan. As the two of them still didn't get along. She knew that Logan had done some horrible things but he'd also let her go. She was thankful he'd given her her freedom. But she missed him more than ever. Towel drying off she walked out of the bathroom not bothering to dress as she knew she was alone. Moving into her room she started to dig through her stuff for the phone. A small smile pulled at her lips when she located it. Turning it on she walked around the room dressing as it powered up. Pulling on a pair of shorts and a matching bra. It was something she'd managed to swipe when her and Abby were out browsing. It was so soft and comfortable. Hearing a chime from the phone she raced over a smile on her lips as she fumbled to unlock it. But only sighed out when it was a notification for some stupid game update. Rolling her eyes she opened the contacts up, before finding his name and clicking it. The phone started to dial moments later. Placing the phone to her ear she waited till, holding her breath.

Abby kissed him back the need he pressed in with shot straight to her gut making it clench with desire. She half cried and half moaned as he pulled his lips from hers. She blushed and bit her lip letting her dazed eyes open. She was glad he was focused on leaving because if he had noticed just how much he was affecting her tonight they wouldn't be leaving. Abby smiled as he looked at her again and lead her out of the house. He tucked her into the car and she watched him walked around getting in. He was so handsome it made her knees weak. When he got in nervously talking about where they were going she placed a hand on his arm. "I am very excited to be anywhere with you." she smiled softly. It was the truth. As they drove she hummed along to the radio watching the town pass by. It was a beautiful night and she was so excited. It might not be fancy but it was perfect to her. Once they arrived Carter walked her in and was the perfect gentleman. She giggled as he pulled out her chair for her. Once they were seated she looked around. It was beautiful, she loved the water. They seemed to have really good times near water. Abby smiled and looked around at the lights glittering on the ink black water. "This is really nice Carter." she said honestly. It wasn't fancy but that wasn't what she wanted and it was nice. The waiter stopped by and they ordered drinks, well just water for her. She glanced over the menu but was drawn back towards Carter. She grinned. "How was work today? Did the guys give you a hard time about taking me out tonight?" she couldn't stop smiling and it was starting to hurt her cheeks but this was truly something she had been looking forward to and so far she was not disappointed. Carter was an amazing boyfriend and he worked hard to make her feel special to him and it mattered to her.
Logan was just coming back to his office for his night cap before bed when he heard the buzzing hidden in the stacks of books. He closed and locked the door hurrying to the stacks and opening the box getting the phone one ht last ring. He sank into the nearby chair with relief. "Harper." he whispered wanting to be sure it was her. Logan sighed grinning upon hearing her voice. "Are you okay?" his next question was a result of the worry he had for her out there without him to be able to personally ensure her safety. Logan sighed again when she told him she was fine in that sassy way she usually did. He was relieved but also curious why she had called, but at the same time immensely grateful. He had been yearning to hear from her. Logan missed Harper with such a ferocity it was a constant ache inside of him that he could not make disappear. "How have you been? What have you been up to, tell me everything." he said glad that he knew they were safe to talk right now. There was a lot he knew was going on and he was still trying to work out a way for him to stop into the town near her to be able to see her, as well as bring her supples and anything he could think of she might need. He had sent a little package that should be arriving in a day or two in a little PO box he had set up as well for her with he had to tell her about as well but first he wanted to just enjoy hearing her voice.

Cater let his eyes wander over the menu wondering why the guys said it wasn't that good of a food place. He hoped he wasn't opening them up to food poisoning. Hearing her question he could help but pull his eyes up to meet hers. "Work was work." He told her, before chuckling. "Truthfully they were really helpful and was a bit more excited about my date tonight then I was." He chuckled. Not saying that he wasn't excited, but they were more focused on it than he was. Always asking questions and trying to answer them when he wasn't sure what the answer should be. They'd asked if he'd bought her a gift and then told him what he should get, if he couldn't afford it then get her chocolates. Though Cater wasn't sure if she even liked them let alone could have them. And the more the guys talked about it the more he realized that he didn't know much about her, the little things. He felt a connection with her, and he didn't question it as he fell in love. Because the things he saw and got to know he loved. But he felt they had rushed things quite fast when it came to getting to know one another, but it didn't stop him from hoping they could still progress forward. He smiled at the waiter as he asked if they were ready to order after bringing them their drinks. "Uh I think we still need a minute." He told the man, knowing he'd not decided on what to eat yet, he was to caught up in his own thoughts. Looking back down at the menu, he quickly decided what he wanted before placing it aside. "So how have you and Harper's training going?" He asked, knowing they'd got up early every morning to run. He could tell the difference in Abby's body as she was slimming in places. It wasn't much noticeable but his eyes never missed anything as it was part of his gift. It took a lot for him to forget something. "She's not running you into the ground is she?" He chuckled knowing his sister could get intense with her training.
Harper could feel dread seeping into her, thousands of horrible thoughts were swirling in her mind. She knew that it could very well be that he just wasn't around the phone. But when his voice rang out, she felt her self sink down onto her bed. "Hey." She said, her happy sigh noticeable in the word. But she couldn't help it as he was okay, feeling her cheek instantly pulling up and her smile breaking across her face. "I'm fine." She managed to get out after regaining herself. Some of the thoughts in her head persistent even though he was fine. A soft chuckle left her lip as he started to bombard her with questions, those exact things were on her mind as well. "I've been better." She told him truthfully, hating this distance between them. And the fact her brother still hated him, it was hard on her to share with him any more. "We've been training, trying to get our strength up. And that really it." She told him, hating that there wasn't much more she could tell him. "Abby and Carter are doing great, they're on a date now, so." She trailed off not sure what to say now. Everything they'd been doing seem so boring and useless. But in truth they were only strengthening their bodies so they could endure the rigorous training that would come from learning how to handle their abilities.

Abby smiled as he said the guys were excited for his first date. She chuckled. "I think they like you." she said and decided as well on somethings setting her menu down and took his hand. He was so nervous and there was something on his mind she could tell. They had been through so much, always doing something that a normal date seemed a little harder because there was no other focus other than them and it was a lot of pressure. He asked about the training and she sighed shaking her head. "It's been interesting. I have always been strong but this is more about endurance. I have been more than surprised about Harper keeping up with me actually. She doesn't have my gifts but she is a powerful force." she chuckled. "Probably some of your doing." she joked. "And she is working me hard but It think it will take more to truly wear me to the ground." she said and bit her lip. "But perhaps we should but work and training aside and start with an ice breaker, the normal first date kind of questions." she chuckled. "I'll go first..." she looked around humming quietly as she thought about something to ask. "If you had to live somewhere other than on land would you want to live under the sea or in space?" she smiled chuckling quietly at the silly question. Abby like holding Carter's hand. It made her feel connected to him even thought they were both a little nervous about tonight. She wanted this date to be good for him because she was just glad to spend time with him but she knew this was important to him. He had a cold exterior but it was the warm marshmallow insides that made her adore him and care bout these little things. Abby was laid back and didn't worry too much but on these small things she was learning to care more because of Harper's guidance on the inner workings of Carter.
Logan smiled listening to her. She was still a woman of few words and he chuckled. "It is good to prepare." he said knowing he had been doing his own kind of training. The day Harper was in trouble and he wasn't adequate enough to save her was fueling his drive to become a protector in between trying to figure out how to be her provider from so far away as well. "Oh I have a package coming to you soon. It's just a little to try and help you out. I will send the instructions later." he said and grinned. "I couldn't make it down right now, there are too many eyes. I am trying to root out who is responsible for all this." he said his voice sad, telling enough that the progress is slow and currently unproductive. She mentioned Carter and Abby. "I am glad they are getting out and not letting all this affect them so much. Abby is good at being positive in nearly any situation. She can come off like too much but she is infectious, if you let her in she will build you up." he shrugged. "Sorry just remembering her in the high society." he sighed. "I have missed you. Talking around here is stiff and boring. I miss your honesty and sass." he smirked remembering her stubborn will fighting him with everything. He would do anything to have her back in his arms and safe once again.

Cater couldn't help but let out a chuckle, "you couldn't tell by how they work me." He teased, knowing he'd never really had to do manual labor like he was doing now. And honestly he'd never trade this for anything in the world. Only because he got to come home and see the two women he loved. He smiled as she grabbed his hand, he couldn't help but feeling the need to slip his fingers in between her smaller ones. "You have to understand Harper's ability is like mimicry, almost like she's a sponge. When she touches someone who has an ability she can in turn do it. However touching her isn't wise, as she can make a grown man beg for death by the slightest touch." He warned her, hoping that she'd never have to ever face off against her sister. Even if they were just sparing. "I can't take any credit for her, unless it's the hand to hand combat she knows, the rest is all her own doing. And me pushing her, but that's it." He smiled fondly remembering how she never wanted to learn it, till she put him on his ass. Then it was fun for her and she expected the challenges from that moment on. Gripping her hand he couldn't help but chuckled at her sudden change of thoughts. He knew that when he got to thinking about Harper things could get dark for him. And she was smart to pull him from his thoughts. As he was doing everything he could think of not to much and just enjoy their night together. "Well lets see, I think under water." He chuckled. "If drowning wasn't a fear I wouldn't mind going scuba diving, but I don't know. It seems like conquering my fears wouldn't be an issue then." He chuckled knowing he was rambling. "What about you, what would you choose?" He smiled brightly not believing they were actually discussing this. As far fetch as it was it pulled their attention from their problems. Allowing them to be free for the night and just enjoy their time together, and not focus on things they can't change.
Harper nodded at his words though she knew he couldn't see her, and it only serve to pull a giggle from her lips. Before she listened to him more closely. "Yeah, I'm sorry I left you with all those boring people." She teased him, knowing her sass was entertaining to him. As he wasn't used to people not listening to him or giving him his way. And honestly she like challenging him. But she missed seeing him more, the way he made her feel couldn't compare to anything else. But when he said he had to many eyes on him it reminded her of the document her brother had brought back from the old man's house. He'd tried to hide them away and keep them in the dark, but she knew it was a very big important piece of the puzzle. "Speaking of eyes, have you ever heard of a pharmaceutical company, called." She paused getting up and going into Carter and Abby's room. Quickly grabbing the paper and reading the name out to him. "Novartis?" She said not sure if she said it right. But she wanted him to help her look into the company, maybe with his help they could figure out how to get their lives back. And she wouldn't spend the rest of her years hiding. "We have some friends that helped up dig this name up, so it's important just don't know it's connection." She told him, placing the paper back were she got it before leaving the room. Heading back to her room, and laying down on her bed. She really didn't want to talk about this but it was the only way she was ever going to get back to him. "Maybe soon you can sneak out and see me." He teased him, knowing that seeing him would be one of the best things she'd get to do. But leaving him again would hurt her, but it would be worth it for any time she'd be given.

Abby smiled as he answered her unusual question. She was sure they could talk about everything else but he just wanted to enjoy their night and forget for just a moment that they were on the run and different than anyone else. "Why underwater for you?" she asked curiously. Abby listened to him then hummed trying to think of her own choice. It was a tough one. "Probably also under the ocean because no matter how far down you go you are never alone there is always some kind of life that will be there with you." she grinned.

Abby looked up as their food was delivered and she dug in. "Mmm." she hummed as she chewed. It was good and she was just glad she was getting to enjoy a date out with her boyfriend. "Okay your turn." she said waiting for him to come up with an interesting question for them to play with. It didn't matter what it was, he could even ask her her preferences and she was sure they could call this date a success.

Abby ate as they talked getting to know Carter on a different level. Once they came out of the easy questions she bit her lip. "Ready for a hard question?" she asked. "What are you worried about in our relationship?" she asked. She wanted to know what he feared would happen as a couple between them.
Logan laughed as Harper teased him. He missed her quirky attitude. "Well you should be they are going to kill me with their dry humor that everyone forces a laugh at." he smirked. There was nothing more he wanted right now than to have her with him wherever they might be and he was going to make it a point to find a way to get to her faster. He needed her like the air.

Logan listened as she spoke and he frowned writing down the name having her spell it to be sure he got it right. "I don't really have a lot to do with pharmaceuticals but my family has some shares so I will look into it." he said. Unfortunately Logan could think of a few ways that a pharmaceutical company would want to get their hands on the abilities that Metas had. He ran his hand through his hair.

Logan smiled as she asked him to come see her. "Oh my love I am going to do everything I can to come see you soon, as long as it is safe." He cared about her safety but knew her brother would kill him if he ever put her in danger. "I can't wait to see you. I miss you like crazy Harper and I never want you to forget that." he said and smiled. Logan signed and leaned back in his chair. He could hear his company walking out of the dinning room. "I should go now my love. I will try not to wait so long to call again." he said knowing it would hurt so much less if he didn't feel like he was missing her as much just by being able to speak with her.

Cater was so hungry so when his food was before him he couldn't help but dive right in. He listened to her answer to the question smiling as she seemed to get him, that was like his thoughts exactly however he didn't know how to put it into proper words. But she was able to even if it wasn't all of what he was thinking. As he chewed on his food he though over what question he could ask her. He however couldn't come up with something that matched her questions level of out there. "If you were stranded on an island what would be three things you take with you?" He asked her, knowing it was a bit vague but she was imaginative and could answer it any way she seen fit.

His smile hadn't left his face all night, and honestly he hadn't though it ever would. But when she questioned what he was worried about. It fell, and he though long and hard about how to answer her question as he didn't want to hurt her feelings or push to fast for things she wasn't ready for. "Honestly, everything." He sighed before looking up at her. "I've never been in a relationship, so I don't know if I'm doing things right or if we're on the same page, or if your ready to take the same steps I am." He told her, rubbing the back of his neck lightly. "I was hoping we could actually talk about it a bit, after we finished eating." He told her, truthfully. Knowing that even though they were going on a date, he was still thinking about bettering their relationship, even if it was a bit upsetting.
Harper let out a laugh as she listened to him pout about her absences. She knew that they were both in the same boat, missing each other. Also feeling like they didn't belong or something important was missing. "I'm sure that you'll be just fine, after all you don't have deal with them." She told him remembering the days she was there, he'd demand everyone leave him alone and leave. As they spent more time together than he ever did at working.

After she spelled the name of the company out for him she, knew their conversation was coming to a close. And she hated that she couldn't talk longer. But as their time was coming up short she couldn't wait till the next time she talked to him. "Please be careful." She threw out knowing that even though they needed to get off the phone she was needing to get it off her chest. "Whoever is wanting Abby dead isn't afraid to take lives, so please be careful." She sighed knowing that she wanted to be in his arms right now. Knowing they were so far apart and couldn't comfort each other properly, tore at her heart. She wanted him to give her daily updates to let her know he was alright. But knew it was to dangerous. And then that was where her wanted of this to end fell into place. "I miss you so much." She told him, again. Knowing that she was being a bit clingy and needy, but she didn't know if this would be the last time she heard his voice or not.

Abby smiled at his question and listed off the easy choices. "I would bring you, a boat and the most universal tool in the world." she said knowing they could build a life like that if they had too, they might even enjoy a life as simple as being on a distorted island. She ate and loved to see the smile on his face. Abby bit her bottom lip as his smile fell. She had to know though, how else were they going to get through it. she nodded as he said everything. She could understand the fear that came with something important.

Abby smiled softly. "I would like to talk about it too. I know this is all a lot and in the middle of this mess we live in too but this matters. What we have matters." she said and reached out taking his hand and squeezed it gently. She smiled softly. "I bet are are more on the same page that either of us know." she said and pressed his hand to her cheek. She smiled as they went back to eating. She sipped her water and looked at Carter. He was so handsome. There wasn't a thing about him that didn't speak to some part of her. Even his controlling protector side had a place and time.

As they went through dinner the came back to small talk finding more cute and fun questions to talk about that didn't really hit the big issues. It was important to have the little things and the big things in a relationship and she was glad that she was getting he opportunity to have both with Carter.
Logan chuckled. "Yes but if I want to get included in the information that will free you I have to tolerate them." he admitted. He sighed and smiled again making sure he got all the information he could. "I will be careful Harper don't you worry." he said and nodded though she couldn't see him. "I know they could and would if they thought I could get them closer to her." Logan was starting to think he needed to look into other cases like Abby's. Maybe there were more people in high society that had a baby with abilities. There had to be something. "I want you to be careful too Harper."

They both were avoiding getting off the phone but he knew he had company to get back to and see off. He sighed. "I love you Harper and I miss you like crazy." he ran a hand through his hair. "I will try not to wait so long to see you. Don't forget to pick up your package." he said. "Until next time my love." he said and then hung up before they continued to listen to each other breath just to try and feel close to each other.

Logan sighed as he sat back and hid his phone again. He picked up what he had come in for. He forced a smile and turned heading out and back to his guests. "Finally found it!" he sang and laughed. "Right under my nose the entire time." he said and grinned.

[Sorry I thought I replied to this when I did Like]
Carter paid the bill, before standing. “Ready to go?” He asked her offering her his hand. Once she was on her feet he lead the way out of the restaurant. And instead of heading back to the car he lead them down a little path, that opened up into the sand at the edge of the shore. He paused turning to look at her, before pulling his shoes and socks off, allowing her the chance to do so too. After rolling up his pant legs he grabbed her hand and then lead her out to the edge of the water. He could feel the cool waves wash over his feet as he lead them down the shore line. “I’ve been putting this off for as long as I can.” He told her, “it’s not something I feel a relationship should be based around.” He said trying to make sure that she understood this was something he wanted at the same time he wasn’t sure if they were ready or not for it. “But sleeping beside you and getting to touch you it’s not enough, for my desire.” He hoped she understood what he meant he felt completely awkward and embarrassed having to try and say he wanted to have sex with her. He felt like a teenager, and he hated it. Stopping he turned to look at her, “I understand if you think your not ready or we need more time, I get that, but I’m at my limit here.” He told her, knowing that he might have to sleep on the couch from now on, but he wanted her to understand it wasn’t because he didn’t love her or care about her. It was because he respected her so much that he was doing what he could to hold himself back.

    {no worries}

Abby walked with Carter to the little beach and took off her shoes with him. She held his hand as they walked down to the water. She smiled as the water trickled over her toes. This was beautiful and she was glad to share this with Carter. She looked up at him as he started to speak. She frowned as he started to speak. She was confused but only for a moment and when it dawned on her she giggled a little. She was pretty sure that most couples didn't have a chat before they had sex, she was pretty sure that they just let it go too far if they where both ready. She smiled as he turned to her. "Carter..." she let him finished then stepped closer and cupped his cheek. "Thank you for talking to me about it and telling me how you feel but I feel like we are ready. Yes there is still a lot of little things that we would want to know about each other, and maybe some big things we haven't worked out completely yet but I think we have gotten to the point that we can talk to each other enough that sex is not going to complicate who we are as individuals or as a couple only make it better." she said and bit her lip blushing. "I.. just want you to know I have heard a lot of stories about how it hurts and I don't expect the first time to be good." she looked up at him her ears red. "So no pressure okay?" she leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips. She had been involved in other things so she wasn't entirely innocent and hoped that would give her an advantage so she wouldn't need to worry so much about how it might hurt or how she is doing. "Do you have any other concerns before we do?" she asked him wanting to be sure they where on the same page.
