She smiled a little. Something about the way he said it made her feel comfortable. “Well I’m still in school so I guess I’ll see you around whenever I’m not then,” She told him as she drove back toward town, pulling to the edge of the reservation, where she lived with her brother. She parked her car, climbing out and going toward the door. “So what do you do for work?”

He nodded a little. “What kind of French food?” He asked curiously. “French fries?” He asked and laughed a little. “Do you have a favorite dessert?”

"I work on cars part time," he said to her lightly, "or some of the guys and I repair houses for a price," he said to her lightly as he wet his lips - he didnt get to work often but he made enough so that he could help his mom with bills.

She smiled, "I like the pastries," she said to him as she wet her lips, "So I bake a lot - and I love creme brule it's really nice, not too sweet," she said to him.

She nodded a little. “What do you do for fun?” She asked as they went inside her house. “Um so make yourself at home?” She said, laughing a little. “I think we have ground beef, if you don’t mind I want to help you make them.”

He smiled a little. “I might get fat if you make pastries, that’s something I’d like to try,” He added, laughing a little. “How did you get started baking?”

He nodded a little and opened the freezer and pulled out the meat he set it in the microwave on defrost, "well, I play video games from time to time when I have the chance," he said to her.

"Well my parents weren't around a lot so they put me in any classes I wanted. So I took baking classes and cooking, and budgeting, all the things parents are supposed to help teach you - my parents wre to busy for work to teach me." she said to him lightly, "they forked out the money and I took care of myself,"

She went and got a pan to set in the stove. “Video games? I can play a few,” She nodded a little. She leaned against the counter and sighed a little. “It’s a little weird, to go to work and get an imprint, or soulmate, boyfriend whatever. To think I didn’t know you a few days ago, it’s weird.”

He nodded a little. “Well I’ll be happy to learn some stuff, I could use it. Especially if I plan to do a better job of keeping myself alive. But now I have you, and I think that’s why I got you instead of someone else.”

She smiled a little, "So, you plan on letting me take care of you then?" she said to him as they walked towards her car, "I wouldn't mind, I like cooking and if it makes it easier on you then I'm for it," she told him honestly.

He smiled a little, "Yeah I imagine that wasn't what you wanted when you got the job, some weird guy telling you you're his soulmate," he murmured.

She laughed. “Well I didn’t know,” She smiled a little. “You show up and ask for stuff but you kept staring st me the whole time. Then you care back 3 more times, to stare some more and slide your number to me,” She said, shaking her head. “Now I know better but your pick up lines need work,” She joked.

He smiled. “Well, maybe we can take care of each other. I can keep you physically safe, and you can keep us fed? And we can work on the other stuff as it comes?” He suggested.

A small smile curved her lips," sounds like a plan," she said to him, "Has anyone else imprinted?" she asked him curiously as she looked at him.

He smiled a little, "Well the issue with my pick up line was... it wasn't a pick up line," he laughed a little as he looked at her.

She smiled a little. “That’s true,” She said, going to get a a frying pan out. “”Well it’s not something you hear everyday. But there’s something comforting about you, like I can be happy now that you’re here.”

He nodded. “Sam and Jared already. Aside from me, Paul did just a few days ago. A girl at the Hardware store named Nadia.” He explained. “He’s been thinking about her nonstop for the past few days, she gave him a hard time.”

She nodded a little, "I don't blame her, it's kind of... a lot but Charlie trusts you - so I figure I could tell him if you ended up to be lying," she laughed a little as she wet her lips."Come on I'll drive us to the grocery store," she told him.

He smiled a little as he shrugged, "Do you want to cut the onions and stuff to go on it?" he asked her.

He smiled a little. “Well at least we both knew a common person you could trust, I guess if you didn’t you’d have given me an even harder time.” He said to her. “Apparently he imprinted in her during her shift while he was looking for tile... She wasn’t expecting anything like that. But you weren’t either. You’ll meet her and the others, Emily and Sam usually invite the pack over to eat.”

She nodded a little. “Yeah, I can do that,” She said, getting the chopping board out and washing off the vegetables. “What was it like before you changed?” She asked curiously

"Before I changed I did whatever I wanted, I worked most days or stayed home.. then the temper kicked in - and once that happenswe phase for the first time," he said to her.

Alex nodded a little then smiled as she started her car, "I wish I could have known you before you changed, Bella said you had really pretty long hair," she grinned a little.

She nodded a little. “Tempers are a part of it? Or just you?” She asked curiously. “Is that why you needed Sam to show me?” She asked as she started slicing the tomatoes.

He laughed a little. “I’m sure there’s a picture of that somewhere in this house. And while I’d rather you not see me like that Kts really only a matter of time,” He said dramatically. “I won’t tell you where they are though.”

She laughed a little as she looked at him, "Then I'll just have to ask your dad then wont I?" she said to him teasingly as she nudged him playfully.

He smiled and nodded, "I always had a bad temper before, it just got worse but I could never hurt you on purpose, ever," he said lightly.

She nodded a little. “I believe you,” She murmured, smiling a little and setting the tomatoes aside and moving onto the onions. “What was it like? When you changed?”

He laughed a little and whined. “If you need to but don’t i look fine now, just remember me like this,” He mumbled. “I can grow my hair out though, just means the fur when I change will be long too.”

She laughed a little as she looked at him then back at the road, "That'd be hilarious," she said to him snorting a little as she pulled in parking lot of the store.

He sighed, "Terrifying, I didn't know what was going on my body ached really bad I started running a temp and then suddenly everything ticked me off,"

“Were those the only changes?” She nodded a little. “I mean I know you have to grow to accommodate the change, weee you always this big?” She asked curiously. “Like I don’t mind,” She laughed a little. “Just wanted to know if you were always 7feet tall.”

He snorted. “Not as long as it was, maybe just not cropped,” He laughed a little. “Now that you’ve seen me this way, I don’t mind growing my hair back out a bit. Just not too long, when I first changed I thought I was blind, I had so much hair I was more scared I couldn’t see than being a giant wolf.”

He shook his head, "Once I started showing signs of changing, I gained muscle mass and got taller," he said to her lightly, "It's all part of the change, I was five foot ten before,"

She laughed a little and tilted her head back then sighed, "Oh god thats too good," she said to him as she looked at him, "Come on," she said to him.

“So you just grew 2 feet overnight,” She teased, setting the onions in front of him and wiping her eyes. “So like do you sleep a lot? Are you messy? Are burgers the only thing you can cook?” She asked, looking at him. “I’m not too messy but I like to sleep.”

He snorted as he followed her into the car. “Just tell me when to cut it again, I’ll cut my hair short if you want me to but No longer than chin length, I don’t want to die.”

He smiled, "I do sleep a lot but only after patrol, I eat a lot probably if I counted calories I'd eat over eight thousand a day - lots of protien to keep me going since I run so hot. "

She smiled a little and nodded a little, "Alright so I'm going to make shrimp scampi - I'm really good at it and it's really good - lots of protien," she said to him.
