She stared at him. “Eight thousand? No way, that’s impossible,” She laughed and shook her head. “Are you sure this is enough?” She asked, looking at the burgers they had prepared.

He nodded a little. “Shrimp, we’ll need a lot of it. Maybe 3 pounds?” He suggested, looking into the freezer section.

He smiled a little "I can eat in moderation till I get home," he said to her sheepishly,"I normally eat breakfast at sam and emily's - she cooks breakfast for all the wolves, right now there is jared, sam, jaked and me - quil, and embry will phase soon but they don't know it,"

She smiled then nodded, "Yeah that sounds good, since you eat a lot I'll make it work," she said to him.'

“Maybe I should start stocking up on food?” She asked, smiling a little. “If you have to see me once a day, maybe we can aim for eating together or something? That way we can get to know each other better and stuff,”

He nodded a bit. “I do eat a lot but my dad tries to accommodate it. Other times I eat at Sam and Emilys they really care for the rest of us. I don’t want you to have to deal with my appetite,” He grinned a little as he reached out for a bag of chips he wanted.

She smiled a little, "Once I have a part time job it won't be an issue, I won't mind spending that money on feeding you," she said to him shrugging a little as she looked at him.

He smiled a little, "Don't worry about it so much, I manage to make enough money to keep myself fed so it's not a burden to my mom" he told her.

She smiled a little. “I don’t mind, like if we’re meant to be together, I think I can help keep you fed, especially if you’re eating 8,000 calories a day,” She shrugged a little.

He smiled a little. “I can help though, I really do eat a lot,” He murmured. “Whatever extra money I’ve got I’ll send your way for food and emotional distress,”

He smiled a little as he looked at her, "Then Emily might actually enjoy your help," he said to her lightly as he wet his lips.

She smiled a little, "I think I can deal," she said to him then began to grab things she'd need.

Nadia readjusted her backpack, heading out toward her car when she saw a girl with a sling carrying her books. “Hey, do you need help?” She asked curiously, noticing a tall guy that looked almost identical to Paul waiting over by the door.

Jacob walked over and smiled. “Hey, I can take those,” He said, wanting to help at least until she had the casts off. “I figured id come to get you,” He said to her before smiling at Nadia. “Hey Nadia, Paul told me to tell you he’d see you soon,” Je said before turning to Alex. “Ready?”

She smiled a little as she looked at him then nodded a little as he took her books out of her arms, "Thanks," she murmured lightly with a small smile, "I appreciate it, I'm not allowed to drive since Charlie saw me slide on black ice the other day," she scowled a little.

Paul was running around like a chicken with his head cut off the last eight hours - he'd been trying to prepare everything so Nadia could meet his mom and so far everything was going as planned. "I'm on my way," he texted her.

He grinned. “Cities get their streets cleaned and salted, we don’t have such a luxury. When we get there I’ll put chains on your car for you, but until then I’ll drive you,”

Nadia nodded a little as they walked away, wondering if he was a wolf too. She pulled out her phone and saw the text message, dialing his number to call him. “I didn’t know you were coming to pick me up,” She smiled a little, going to sit on one of the benches inside the school.

He smiled a little, "Of course I am," he said to her, "I'm running a little late cause Sam needed me to do something, did Jake tell you I was on my way?" he asked curiously as he drove carefully to her school.

She nodded a little "Yeah, I scared the life out of him I think. I had it under control though," she pouted as she climbed into the passenger seat then wet her lips.

She smiled a little. “Don’t worry about it, I’m just sitting in the hall by the door. And Jake, was that who that was? He must have imprinted on someone too, I ran into her on the way out,” She said, setting her backpack onto the seat as well.

He nodded a little. “I can teach you to drive in the ice if you want me to, it’s hard if you’re not used to it,” He admitted, driving out of the parking lot. “Where do you want to go? Your house? Mine?”

"Lets go to mine, I need to do some homework and then I can cook for you - maybe your dad could come over for dinner," she said to him smiling a little as she looked at him.

He nodded,"That would be Alex, he said to her smiling, "she is Charlie Swans niece," he said to her nodding, "He thinks about her non stop - kind of annoying,"

She smiled a little. “I’m sure it’s cute, it’s part of imprinting?” She asked, standing when his car pulled into the lot and coming outside. She hung up and tossed her bag in the backseat, climbing in the front and buckling up. “Besides, I’m sure you flood their thoughts with me all the time,” She teased gently.

He nodded a little. “He’d like that, he and Charlie are great friends. He knows I’ve imprinted but hasn’t told Charlie, I’m not sure how to bring it up to him without telling him,”

She nodded a little, "We don't have to, he'll just think.. we became high school sweet hearts or something," she said to him as she rubbed his arm lightly. "Thought he has been complaing you never wear shirts in the house, she laughed a bit as she wet her lips.

He nodded, "It is, imprints are almost always on our minds, it's how the others know how serious it is," he said to her, "They feel what we feel so they have a feeling what its like when it happens."

He whined. “It’s too hot, I wear pants to maintain decency but I’m warm enough as it is,” He murmured. “Besides, I don’t think you mind,” He teased gently.

She smiled a little. “It’s cute,” She said, watching as he drove. “Where are we going? Your house?” She asked him, reaching into the backseat for her planner. “I just need to do some homework when we get there and then we can do whatever.”

"Don't act like you wouldn't mind if I walked around shirtless," she said to him with a small teasing smile as she nudged him a little.

He nodded,"Yeah my place," he said to her with a small smile then wet his lips, "Then... my mom wants to meet you," he said to her lightly.

She smiled a little. “I’d love to, dinner? Should I dress up?” She asked, looking at her jeans and jacket. “I’m excited to meet her, she knows then that I’m your imprint?”

He laughed. “Of course I wouldn’t,” He grinned a little as he drove. “You’re the most beautiful woman in the world to me, I’d be an idiot to pass that up,” He snorted.

She smiled a little as she rested her head back then sighed a little, "I can't wait to graduate" she said to him lightly as she fiddled with the edge of hr cast. Alex wanted nothing more than to just relax for a few weeks doing nothing in particular.

He smiled a little and nodded, "Yes, she knows and no need to dress up it's casual dinner," he said to her laughing a little.

She nodded a little. “Should I make dessert, I can make a cake,” She offered, wanting to do something. She hoped his mother would like her, so she wanted to help. “I just need your kitchen for an hour or so,”

He nodded a little. “You will soon though, and then you’ll be free to do what you want until you’re ready to go to college,” He smiled a little. “The community college is all the way in Olympia though.”

Alex nodded, she understood that going to community college would put a little distance between them on a regular day-to-day basis. She didn’t want that but she knew a better education would help provide for the better because she also knew that him having a steady job wouldn’t be necessarily possible. “Yeah I plan on taking a couple courses but I’m not sure for what yet maybe I can find something online so we’re not so far away from each other,“

“You can make dessert if you want to, my mom is pretty chill – I mean she did have me,“ pulled up his mom almost as He loved Nadia. No he didn’t really have a choice in the matter, he would choose his mom about most things. Even above his pack if you had to. So the imprint would never allow him to choose her above Nadia, he would always make sure that she knew that his mother was very important to him.
