Madeline knew she would be crushing her own hopes if she pushed Alec away but keeping him around for too long seemed foolish and dangerous.

Though, for now, Madeline pushed those thoughts out of her head to just enjoy the comfort Alec offered as she drifted off.

Evie hummed as he handed her the glass and she held the sheets to her breasts as she drank and looked him over from over her glass. He stood beautifully naked in front of her and she drank him in as she did the water. Once she felt refreshed she handed the glass back to him smiling as she watched him set it aside. "Thank you." Winston moved back into the bed and she curled up next to him laying her head on his chest. It was nice to for once know that she was wanted to stay the night and to be seen the next morning. Winston had been very intensional in how he had courted her so she knew this truey.

Evie didn't know if she had ever been courted before Winston. Whatever she had before she hadn't had what Winston gave her now. She was certain and felt supported with him. Evie hummed softly as she trailed her fingers over his chest letting her eyes slip open and closed at their own leisure. Evie pressed a kiss to Winston's chest and closed her eyes as she told herself she was just going to rest her eyes for a moment. It wasn't long though before she was asleep in his arms.

It was the sound of birds that woke her the next morning. She bit her bottom lip and hummed her fingers stretching out over the skin under her. It was warm but not any warmer than she was. Evie sighed and stretched out her legs tangling with Winston's. She smiled and pressed a kiss to his chest as she rolled over to lay against him. "Morning." she whispered feeling their naked bodies pressing together in such a glorious reminder of the night before.

Alex listened to Maddy slowly fall asleep and he stroked his fingers gently over her arm as he let the night wear on his thoughts on Maddy and what he had saw from her tonight. What kind of a life had she lead that would make her so guarded? He could only continue to allow her to be herself and support her in that way and whatever came of it would have to be enough.

Alex closed his eyes and let himself drift off as well. When he woke he got up and went to start some laundry before he decided he needed to do some exercise. He was getting soft himself just laying about and helping Maddy. As much as he enjoyed being with her he had his own responsibilities to keep up. Alex pushed back the couch and coffee table to give himself the space he needed. He had music on lowly as he worked out. He eventually stripped his shirt off and was deeply focused on his work out. It felt better than he had expected being back in the adrenaline of his work out. He was just about done with his last set when he heard rustling in the apartment from Maddy.

When Winston started to feel Evie shift on top of him, Winston opened up his eyes. A smile came over his face as he looked her over for a long moment. "Good morning," He murmured before he leaned down and pressed a kiss against the top of her head. The man then rested his head back against the pillow and turned it slowly to glance at the clock beside his bed. It was 8 am. Which meant that the sun was already out in the sky. Good thing they were at his place. It would be Evie who would have to leave, not him.

After a few minutes of just laying with her passed, Winston started to shift in the bed until he was sitting up, causing Evie to roll down his body slightly. "How about I make us both breakfast?" He then motioned to the master bath that was attached to his room. "If you want, you can use my shower and borrow some of my clothes if you need to." Winston didn't mind if Evie took some of his things. Even if he didn't get them back. To be honest, he didn't love the idea of letting Evie head back home smelling like sex... "What do you want to eat?"

Once Madeline started to wake, she could feel that the bed beside her was empty. Her eyes opened slowly and soon she was glancing around the room. Alex wasn't there but she could hear that he was in the apartment, moving around and playing some music. She kinda wished that Alex had been still curled up in the bed with her but this was probably for the best. After what had happened last night, she needed a moment to collect herself. Madeline was sure that they would be having a conversation soon about it all and she couldn't help but worry about what that entailed. Although she now beginning to believe he was trustworthy enough to know the truth, that certainly did not mean that was for the best.

Sitting up, Madeline pulled the hood of Alex's sweatshirt over her messy hair. And with a deep breath, she slid out of the bed. Although she was still weak, Madeline wanted to check every day how far she was coming along. The timeline of everything mattered. Holding onto the walls, Madeline slowly made it to the door and opened it. Though once she was there, Madeline felt her legs beginning to give out so she slid along the doorframe and sat down, her head resting against it. "Is carrying me around not enough?" Madeline teased as she started to watch Alex work out.

Evie hummed as he sat up and mentioned breakfast. She was constantly thrilled with him. He was offering breakfast and a shower. She couldn't be more lucky. "Mmm sounds good." she said and kissed his stomach before stretching out and sitting up beside him. She looked him over wondering what she could find in his closet to wear. She smiled and honestly excited that he was going to let her wear his clothes too. She grinned as he asked what she wanted to eat and she smiled. "Hmm eggs and hashbrowns?" She got up slowly letting the blankets fall away from her naked body. "Or just surprise me." she smiled back at him over her shoulder. "I'll save you some hot water." she teased and then walked into the bathroom closing the door. She sighed completely delighted as she looked in the mirror. Her skin glowed with her delight and she was beaming like a fool to herself.

Evie looked around the bathroom and went to turn on the shower smiling as the water fell from the ceiling spout. She fingered a fluffy towel as she waited for the water to warm and went to the counter searching for something she could comb her hair out with. She found a comb and set it on the counter looking back at the steam coming out of the shower now. She walked over and slipped into the water with a hum. Evie showered using his body wash. Once she was clean she turned off the water and reached out grabbing the towel and wrapped herself in it. She walked over to the mirror drying her hair and found some mouthwash grinning. Once she was all cleaned up and put the bathroom back in order she ventured out into Winston's closet and took a look around. She smiled and pulled a button up shirt off the hanger and then walked out into the room seeing Winston had brought her clothes into his room and she smiled knowing he had picked them up off the kitchen. She chuckled and slipped on her undergarments and skirt. She pulled his shirt on styling it and rolling up the sleeves. Once she was all done she folded her other cloths up taking them out with her.

Evie moved into the kitchen setting her things on the counter before slipping her arms around Winston as he stood at the stove. She kissed his shoulder and peered over to look at what he was cooking. "Mmm you smell good." she like his natural scent. She stepped back and leaned back against the counter watching him. "Breakfast smells good too." she smiled at him.

Alex looked up hearing Maddy grinning. "You're stubborn as always." he said smirking and standing. "I have to keep my strength up and you Maddy are not enough to call a workout." He walked over to her and swept her into his arms chuckling. Alex took her over to the couch setting her down and looked her over. "Sleep well?" He asked and walked over to the fridge and pulled out a blood bag. He pulled out a pot and started to warm it up for her. Alex watched her out of the corner of his eye. Last night had been a breakthrough and he wondered if today would show any fruits of it. He stirred the blood slowly. Once it was done he poured it in a cup and walked over placing it in her hands. He went back to the kitchen and cleaned up.

Alex came back and let his eyes move over how she looked in his hoodie. He tried not to but it was impossible not to see her as beautiful as she was and it was only more so in his hoodie. He smirked knowing she had pulled the hood up over her messy hair and he would help her to the bathroom to clean up after she was done with her blood. Alex came over and set the coffee table right again. He would move the couch back later. He sat down on the couch finally.

Although Winston could hear Evie coming from a mile away, he didn't react to her until she was slipping her arms around him. He was still trying his best to play the part of 'human', though the man couldn't help but wonder how many mistakes he had already made in that department...but it seemed that if he had, Evie wasn't really noticing. Turning his head, Winston glanced back at her, a large smile on his face. "Thank you." He told her gently. Slowly, Winston turned around from the stove and wrapped his arms loosely around her waist before pressing a kiss to her lips.

He then reached up and pressed his palm against the side of her face before softly detaching Evie from his body. "You should go sit down at the table, breakfast is done." When her hold on him was gone, Winston started to move around the kitchen, grabbing a serving plate and then sliding the cooked eggs on one side and the hash browns on the other. Now that he was looking at it, he probably made way to much for a smaller female human. But he would eat some and that should help? Unless then he made too little for both of them... It was hard to say, Winston didn't eat food to survive.

He brought the plate to the already set table and placed it down in the middle. Winston then got both of them a glass of apple juice before sitting down at the table. "Please, ladies first." Winston said as he motioned to the platter with the hot food. He wanted her to grab whatever she would eat first as this was just extra for him.

"How else am I suppose to see if I am getting better if I don't try?" Madeline shook her head at Alex but there was a large smile on her face as she did so. She knew that Alex would prefer if she just stayed off of her feet but that wasn't going to happen. Although she had time to go off and murder the prince, she didn't have so much time that Madeline could just let all of the muscles in her legs grow totally useless. Although her whole body was still weak, she tried to move as much as she could without making it worse.

A little hum and a nod were all Madeline offered Alex in response to if she had slept well. She had slept better curled up into Alex than she had in a long time but he didn't really need to know all of that. Although she was sure Alex wouldn't mind knowing considering how nosy the man was. "Did you?"

When Alex came back and handed her a cup of blood, Madeline thanked him. As he moved around the apartment, Madeline drank and watched him with interest. Though the anxiousness in her was beginning to rise. But she waited until he was on the couch before opening her lips. "So...did you want to talk about last night? Or did you have any questions?" Her eyes were focused on her cup, unable to meet his. With something like this, Madeline would just try to sweep it under the rug or avoid such a conversation but it didn't sit right with her to do that to Alex. He deserved better.

Evie looked up at him as he came over to her. She kissed him back. When he touched her cheek she leaned her head into his hand. She hummed as he said breakfast was done. "Good." she said and walked over to the table and sat down. She watched him move around the kitchen before moving over to the table as well. She grinned as he brought over juice and she took her sipping it. "Thank you." she said digging in as he indicated she should go first. She placed the food on her plate. She took a bite of the hashbrown and hummed. "Mmm this is good." she said and took the ketchup putting it over her eggs and hashbrowns.

Evie ate slowly not wanting her time with Winston to be over. She had really enjoyed last night, each part of it and she loved how sweet this morning was too. She wondered how soon she would see him again and if he would call her between now and then. Evie knew he was into her and this wasn't about the sex, even though that was amazing. Evie knew how special Winston was.

"What are you up to today?" she asked him. Evie had some homework to do and studying for a test. She got the idea he might like to do that with her. She was about to ask but thought maybe she should make sure he wasn't busy first after all he had a life too and was a very successful college student.

Alex chuckled as she asked if he slept well also. "Yeah I did. It's easier to sleep in the middle of the bed." he teased. When Alex sat down he noticed her staring at her cup. It wasn't that interesting. She spoke of last night and he stretched out rubbing the back of his neck. Questions? Yeah he had thousands but he looked down at the carpet where an indent of the couch was left from where he had moved it.

"I could ask questions until you told me everything and I have a feeling you might just let me but I don't want you to tell me anything you're not ready to." he wanted to start with that, to remind her she had a choice with him always. "Who was the letter from?" he asked her. It had been thick paper and he saw the indentation of the crest on the back of the paper. Though he didn't look at it he knew it was from nobleility. He wondered why she would be getting letters from a noble but he was starting to think she was one. "Are you a noble?" he asked. He didn't want to know specifics. It did make him wonder though why a noble would have been jumped in the park at night by other vampires.

Winston ended up taking the same amount of food that Evie had grabbed. Human food was rather delicious but it was not like he needed it. Plus, Winston had his mind on something else to sink his teeth into. He had considered digging into a blood bag before she came down but was afraid of her catching him or seeing his stock pile. Now that would be nearly impossible to explain so he would just need to wait until she left. His eyes shifted to glance over at her neck for a moment. Evie certainly wasn't just some human blood bag but...well Winston would be lying to himself if he said he didn't want a taste.

Though as she started to speak, Winston shifted his thoughts to other things. He lifted his head more so to meet her glaze. But he was quiet for another moment once asked what he was up to. The truth came to his mind first but as he glanced windows that blocked out the sunlight, Winston thought it best to lie. He didn't want to be invited out and have to say no. If he could avoid being asked then it would be easier down the line when he just had to say no...How long could he play this game until she got suspicious? "Well, I have a club meeting to host then practice to go to. Plus, I promised my roommate that I would help him with some things. How about you? Anything fun planned?"

Madeline's eyes lifted up for a moment as Alex told her she didn't have to tell him anything if she wasn't ready. The gesture caused her to untense, feeling a bit better about the situation she was getting herself into. There were things that Madeline felt safe in admitting, others not so much. But then there were the items that Madeline felt like she needed to keep under lock and key no matter how badly she wanted to be truthful. It seemed so unfair that he managed to sink into her enough to loosen her lips, especially at this point in her life. This was the time she needed to be most tight lipped. But fuck, Madeline could feel the banging in her chest to just spill it all.

As the questions started to come in, her eyes shifted back to the cup, not wanting to meet his gaze once again. Her fingers patted against the mug nervously. What would he do if he knew the truth? Alex had been nothing but perfect up to this moment...Even the thought of him changing to be like everyone else made her want to cry. But how could things not change? People had shown her again and again that her position, her wealth would turn them against at some point. But still, she could feel that push in her chest to tell the truth. For better or for worse, she was willing to take a chance on Alex. What a fool she was. "The letter was from my mother. I am a noble." Madeline's voice grew weak as she spoke. "Did you read the letter?" She asked, wanting to know if he knew just how much of a noble she actually was. If he didn't already know, Madeline would keep that a secret. But if he did...well, she didn't know what she should do. No one was suppose to know she was there.

Evie bit her lip as he told her his plans for the day and she pushed a smile as he asked about her plans. "Studying. I have some exams tomorrow and I want to be certain." she said and grinned knowing it wasn't really something fun but it was a plan. "I hope you have a good time with your meetings and practices and such." she smirked as she took another bite of her food sipping her drink. She was so not wanting to leave but knew she had to at some point. "What is date number three going to look like?" she asked him as she leaned in. "You have made quite an impression with our second date, or our first depending on how you count." she said grinning. Evie realized how easily she had been seduced by him and normally it would have appalled her she was just enjoying Winston because she trusted him.

Alex frowned as she asked him if he read the letter. "No Maddy I didn't ready it. I noticed the indentation of a stamp on the folded expensive paper. That is all." he said and ran a hand through his hair. "I won't lie to you I thought about it. I was tempted but I respect your privacy and truly believe you will eventually tell me on your own. I don't need to try to figure it out on my own and invade your space just because I might not like the pace of your honesty." he shook his head. "I'm not that kind of a person. I had to figure out in that moment if I was or not that kind of a person." he reached out and took her hand. "It doesn't matter to me where you came from or where you were going when we met. What matters to me is right now. The future is still undecided but this moment... it's our moment. and I want to be my best self around you. It's not easy all the time but even if I didn't do it for you. I am my best self for me." he said looking into her eyes. "So I don't know what they means for you but I am listening to whatever you want to say to me Maddy."

Winston looked over Evie's face carefully as she spoke. He could tell that she wasn't particularly happy to hear that he had plans for the day. But what else was he to do? Winston couldn't leave the house with the way the sun was shining and Evie was to never know the truth about him. So he needed to lie and miss out on time that he wish he could be spending with her. Though, at least he was smiling as she mentioned date 3.

"It would certainly be date 3." Winston told her as he reached over and lightly took her face in his hand. He cupped her cheek before leaning in slowly. But he stopped before his lips were on hers. "I don't have a plan yet but it sounds like I will need to think of one soon so we can see each other." With that, Winston reduced the space between their lips and kissed her gently. After a few moments, he pulled away. "Maybe I should take you out for a midnight ride and we can picnic." He murmured gently.

As Alex spoke, Madeline looked off to the side and remained quiet. At this point, she wouldn't have been mad at him if he read it, considering all of the strangeness that surrounded her up to that moment. And since it was him, Madeline would have chalked it up to the curiosity getting the better of him or being worried about who was actually in his home. Though the fact that he didn't read it just cemented how much better Alex was than her. Well, and everyone else. He really was perfect and here she was, sitting in front of him with all of her 'scars' beginning to show.

"I would have understood if you did, but I appreciate that you didn't open it," Madeline whispered back, looking back into his eyes. "I don't know how to explain it but...I have a good feeling about you. From the beginning, I have, and everything you have done shows me that I am right to think so." She was quiet for a moment before continuing on. "But I don't know what to tell you and it's been so long since I felt bad about hiding the truth." Madeline let out a sigh as she leaned forward and rested her head against their hands. "I haven't even been here that long but you're making me so soft, Alex."
