I seldom find an original fic here that's worth reading [even with slash]... so I content myself with reading het in published books.
I can't help but agree with lovely Isa.

I don't really care if a story is slash or het. I mean it's the same thing. >_>
    Love is universal.

I don't know... I don't really read slash :XD It's not... no Sad

It's not that I have a problem with it, just can't get read it. I've read a few, some were okay. If it's not that too... sexual? Shifty I'll probasbly read it like the Petericks Dru has, it's just really minimal and not... OUT THERE :omfg:

But of couse, I do respect authors and readers of slash :cute:

I'm pretty equal with slash and het, I'll read both willingly. But personally I prefer to write het. It's not that I'm uncomfortable with slash, it's just that I have issues writing it most of the time.

And I know some people on here think that het stories are usually filled with cliche's. I have to disagree with that, simply because a lot of love stories are founded on certain common things. It doesn't matter if it's with two boys, or a boy and a girl. I've read some really cliche slash, but sometimes they made the story all the better. Just my thoughts.

Slash and het have an equal value to me, but I feel better writing slash simply because I'm better at developing two boys together than a boy with a girl, even if the characters in some stories of mine are anonymous. I'd rather read (good) het than write it.

To me, the quality of the story and the way the romance/break up/whatever is developed is more important than whether the relationship portrayed is straight or homosexual.

When it comes to writing, I prefer slash. But there are some story-lines or situations that are just begging for a het pairing. It all depends on my mood, really. Same with reading. I'll read anything as long as it's any good.

I used to only read het, but then I discovered slash. Over time, I gradually started reading more slash than het. Lately, all I look for to read is slash, but when I come across a well written het, I'll read it. I've read some really good and really bad stories from both; I just prefer to read slash, anyday.

Like someone had said before, I somehow feel a lot more comfortable reading slash sex scenes than het sex scenes. I'm thinking maybe I just don't like to read about a girl having sex. Makes me uncomfortable somehow.

As for writing, I prefer to write slash pairings. I've never actually written a sex scene for a story, but I'm more comfortable with and find it easier for me to write slash stories.

I'm not a fan of het even though I do write a lot of het SI.
I generally don't like the female characters in het which is why I tend to not read it.

^Agreed. The girls are always so ditzy and need a man to help them, or they're depressed suicidal and need a man to rescue them. Ew.

I really, really don't understand the 'uncomfortable with het' thing. :shifty

It's just a story. Sex is sex. Just because it's not two guys doesn't mean that you should feel uncomfortable.

Not to mention all het isn't about sex.

I guess everyone is different though...

Well het would make me uncomfortable if it says something like "I put my cock in her pussy and rammed it in repeatedly because thats what they do in porn." XD But then again, I get uncomfortable in slash when its cock and ass you know. Actualy in both, its uncomfortable to read blowjobs. Don't ask why, I think its because I have this thing about blowjobs in rl. Which, I don't like them, and I would sooner have sex than give a blowjob because I find the act somewhat degrading- especially when the guy tugs on the girl's hair or cums in her mouth without permission. That's what makes me uncomfortable.

But other than that, yeah, Het and Slash aren't really different too much except on contains two boys rather than a guy and a girl. But, story wise, not sex wise, it is easier for me to get into the mindset of male characters than female characters whch is why I write slash better than het. I tend to avoid het because I don't think I fouind my voice for it yet.

I don't like anything having to do with reading any kind of love or relationship story, really, but I prefer male character and male character than female and male. I can't read about female characters at all, they just anger me and I take no liking. It's not as interesting, well, to me at least. I guess.

It doesn't make me feel uncomfortable, I'm just not a fan of the whole het sex thing unless it's extremes/kink/etc.

Yeah, I understand if people just don't like it. I mean, I don't like slash, so I can't really say anything.

I just find it weird people getting uncomfortable with it just because the character happens to be a girl as well. It's just a story; it's not real.

Het stories for me always end up being cute, slash ends up romantic. :file: I do like both equally.

Pretty much all of the stories I read are het.
    I rarely read slash.
Every now and then I'll see one that will catch my attention.

I mean, I have no problem with slash, but the fact that it's everywhere, probably plays into me not being a big fan of it.
    But I really don't know.

    I'm sure that was confusing.

I used to read a lot more het than I do now. Now, I really only read stories that I've followed along with and stories by authors I really like.

I don't so much have a problem with it, I just don't like the het sex. It makes me uncomfortable. I don't have a problem with sex in slash stories, but the het sex bothers me. To read, I mean.
I guess I'm not a fan of vaginas.

Like how Pete Wentz said he's not a fan of penises?

Het sex doesn't make me uncomfortable, per se. It's just, I could read it anytime I want.
