I read slash more than het, mainly because I seem to find more slash stories on here.

I prefer Het but once in a while I'll read slash; it's not like there isn't anything wrong with it. Though I can't write it, it comes out really weird when I try.
    :/
And trust me I've tried like 946436347 times.

I always think sex is a little awkward to read:
    slash or het.
As far as romance goes, it depends.
I could love slash, and the shittiest story could be written in that format.
Or I could hate het, and find the most fantastc story.

I guess it depends on the writer.
I think that both have their equal weights.

I write het sometimes for my friends, because if I showed them my slash stories they'd probably run away, but it's always horrible.
So I prefer to write slash. And if I do include a girl in the story, whether it's a past relationship or something then alot of the time it's connected to me in some way. :shifty

I write slash because that’s just the way it’s turned out so far.
Probably because I like writing fan fiction and girls in those stories are
often original characters and I just don’t want to mix in original characters.
At least not yet because I don't think I'd do a good job, I'll practise more first.
But I have het stories planned because I want to write about a female musician
and then I have at least one original fiction het story planned as well.

I read whatever, it doesn’t matter. As long as I like the story and the
characters it’s all good. And I wouldn’t want to only read slash or
only het because they are a bit different and though I read more slash
than het I really adore het.

I'll read anything really as long as it's good. I just tend to not read slash because most (I'm not saying all) are fanfics and I try to just read original fiction because I like it better. Also I try no to read R or NC-17 stories and that's usually how they turn out (not that het doesn't too).

(God, I sound like a homophobic jerk.)

There's no shame in self insertion. Unless you're 12. Then it's creepy. :file:

On the subject of het, I've never read any Fanfic or Original, that interested me. They were all the standard "Emo love" stories or some tripe like that.

Not at all. Just cuz you don;t read slash doesn't mean you're a homophobe. It just means you have different preferences than most. Don't be ashamed. Embrace your het love! :cute:

I'll read both, but I tend to read/write slash more because of the variety.
I like reading slash between band members because I guess sometimes it's more... interesting, to read inter-band relationships?
Not that het stories aren't interesting - it's just that slash tends to mix it up a bit.
if I wanted to read a het romance I could get one from the library, seen as there are far more het books out there than slash ones.

I write het because I'm actually a little afraid to try writing slash. :tehe:
Also, I prefer het. I don't know why, it's nothing to do with homosexuals or anything, I just prefer reading het. -shrug-.
I've never actually read any original though, because like Lacey Mosely said, it's always about two trouble emo kids.

I only write het... my few attempts at slash have been a little more than painful.

I can deal with slash sex... but actual slash romance makes me uncomfortable. Het just seems more real to me because I can relate to the characters better. I understand what people have said about all the female OCs blending together to become the same person because they don't know what they look like, but I think OCs are more about using your imagination to come up with what they look like, from very little details.

To be honest, bandfics make me feel really awkward because I know what they look like.

I like het. Slash is okay with me too. Especially in bandfics. xD

I wish that most people actually felt that way about their OFCs rather than just sticking some picture of a scene girl in the summary and saying "that's what Helena-Sue looks like".

I enjoy both, explicit and non-explicit, but I have serious issues writing 'explicit' sex scenes, be it het or slash.
I just honestly cannot bring myself to do that.
Which is why my stories never get rated higher than 'R'.

I'm comfortable witth both het and slash. These days I've been swaying more towards het. I get in moods where I read a lot of one thing.

    I prefer het.
Only because slash makes me uncomfortable.

But I don't have a problem with people who do write it.
It's just something that's not for me.

^^ I'd never guess you were twelve, zero;. :tehe:

I definitely prefer slash, but I'll read anything. Het's fun if the writer's good at it, and I'm trying to get myself into femmeslash to broaden my horizon a bit!
    It's quite good, really.

However, I'll only write slash, unless it's a roleplay, then anything goes. Naughty
