We named our dog by the marking on her neck. A Diamond. Not to mention, she eats diamonds. ::Ranting: She sucks them right out of our ears as we sleep.

We named our dog Bandit.Because Bandit Way is totally the best thing since sliced bread.
Actually, because of the black spot over his eye. I wanted to call him Pirate, but my dad didn't like the name.

As a rule, all of my pets are named after television or movie characters.

    We have our dogs:
Kinglsey Sullivann, named after a a character from 'The Life Aquatic'.
Inigo Montoya, named after the Spanish wonder form 'Princess Bride'.
Commander Data, named after the guy from 'Star Trek'.

And then we have our birds: Mr. Freeze and Harley Quinn. for some reason, all of our birds tend to be named after Batman characters. My first bird was Batman.

I have two dogs. One, a shih tzu, named Maximillion. We only named him that because I wanted him to have a name that I wasn't embarrassed to repeat.

The girl, another shih tzu, my mom named after one of her favorite songs. 'Cherry Brandy'. So yeah...I have a dog named, Brandie, after an alcoholic beverage. Lol. I'm just glad my brother and sister haven't found that out yet.

I named my one cat Buffy because before we adopted him he was living in our backyard and his name was Tic or Tac. At that time Buffy the Vampire Slayer had just been canceled and that was my mom's favorite show so I suggested we name the kitty Buffy to make her happy. Buffy's a boy cat with a female vampire slayer's name.

My family named our other cat and two dogs.

I have two dogs, the chihuahua was named after the amazing dog that appears in The Little Rascals movie, Petey.

My second dog was named Cheesy due to... well... he was pretty clingy to me when he was a baby, so he got that name for that. But I first called him Franken, dunno why. Later on I started to call him For Shizzle :XD I was just playing with him and called him like that, now he understands for Cheesy and the other name :XD

I get their names from movie characters, or I just name them on their personality.

I named my cat Raja after the tiger in Aladdin.

My dog's story is pretty cute. His name is Oliver because the night we got him, we filled his bowl up with food, and when he finished it, he picked it up between his teeth and waddled over for more.

I have two mice named Bill (his fur is all black with faint brown areas) and Ted (the little white and gray guy) ... from the movie "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure". Nobody ever gets that joke.

Ted keeps scratching his ears and back, though! They look terrible. But I have medicine for him now. Yay Ted! (Who, in the movie, was portrayed by Keanu Reeves. Haha.)

My friend had 2 fish called Irn & Bru and a hamster called Aiden (after the band).
Her sister's hamster is called Spock.
Her dog's called Clova (after a glen).
    They are an odd family.

We adopted a pretty kitty named Pepper a while back. We were going to change her name and I opted for Kirara from InuYasha since I adore the name. Though, my parents, after hearing my suggestion, then decided we were going to keep her former name. That was very upsetting.

The only pet I've ever gotten to name was the first cat I ever had. I was maybe 5 at the time and decided to name him Simba. In Love I wish I had been a bit more creative with my names.

Kelso, a golden retriever we had, was named after Michael Kelso off That 70's Show. He was so goofy and clumsy. But he started fights with Drogan.
