Detrimental homogenization to food culture around the world?

Fast food is food. All food is food.
Fast food is not only in America, and personally, yes, fast food is spreading, mostly American to other countries, but also other cultures foods are coming over here as well.

Go around a normal city in America and you'll see Italian resturants, Chinese, Japanese, Romanian, French, German, Classic Diner, South American, Malaysian, Mexican.

It's called culture difussion. It's a good thing, cultures blending together and creating knowledge and new societies. If people are limited to only one culture throughout their entire lives, then those people will not stand a chance in this growing multi-cultural world. Simple as that.

I don't eat it all the time or anything, but it seems every time I eat it, I end up eating LOADS within, like, one week. :XD

For example in the first week of this month I think I went to pizza hut about four times, as well as McDonalds twice, and I might well have bought chips from a chipshop in that time too. :XD

You are once again misunderstanding, the spreading of different cultures around the world is fine. My issue is with corporations who's goal is homogenization, not a wonderful global tapestry of different foods, but one specific corporation's representation of fast food eroding different food cultures.

Mcdonalds food is mass produced on such a scale that no good quality food purveyor could ever compete on their price level. The detrimental effect of the factory farms who feed these mechanations on the environment is another issue entirely.

I'm not a big fast food eater. I prefer to make it myself.

I'm a stickler for that kinda stuff.

I pride myself in my ability to make some damn good mac&cheese. :con:
:XD If I do say so myself.

It's way better than any fast food resturant can make.

I've honestly never understood how some people are bad at cooking. I can understand that making a 5 course dinner out of rare and expensive and fiddly ingredients might be challenging for a lot of people, but just every day home cooking like pasta dishes, or salads, or pizzas, or even something like a barbeque etc. isn't really difficult to master. -shrug-
Maybe some people just hate cooking in general, so they become bad at it because they put no effort in.
