I think you're a wonderful writer, but a lot of your story gets bogged down with overuse of adjectives, adverbs, and descriptors. It takes so much away from the wonderful story by taking two paragraphs to describe a simple scene between two people that consists of a goodbye. Try cutting out extra descriptions that don't add to the scene - like position of hands, small bits of information like hair colour (if it's irrelevant), etc.

Really, the story is superb, I just think that coming to the third chapter, it loses me in the wave of words. And I see words on the page, not the story.
