Punch Me, I'd Bleed - Comments

Oh my gosh, when I saw that this, one of my favourite stories ever, had been updated... I was like... slack-jawed, holy effing shit... So excited and I jumped right on it. The newest chapter put a smile on my face for practically all of it and even now. I love this, you are a great writer, and I just love Jay and Marcus and Abby and all :D

Oh, oh, oh.. Let me just start by saying that I read the whole 36 a million word chapters in twenty four hours. They are perfect. Each and every single one of them. Except the few small mistakes I found, but like I said million word chapter aka I can't be arsed to go over them all to point out the minor mistakes. So we are going with flaw-prefect y/y? You can read how much Marcus changed throughout the chapters, Jay, too in his own special way. The thing is, I'm waiting for the moment that Jay self destructs completely and takes Marcus with him unintentionally. I hope it doesn't happen, but somehow.. Sometimes I wish you would write in Jay's pov, too, but then I think about how those chapters would be different from Marcus' because Jay is a complete different personality. I wonder how they would be later in life, but anyway. I am in love with the story. Really very much.

“Jay?” I prompted him to look at me. He lifted his eyes, the psychotic blue flooding my brain. I was determined to stay focused, though.

“Are we gay?” I asked.

Jay licked his lips and blinked. He shrugged his big shoulders. “... honestly, I have no idea.”

Thank you so much for updating, at one point this was the soul reason I stayed on Mibba. Your characterisation is wonderful. It's the little things, like Abby giving marcus dinosaur food, Jay kissing Marcus after he'd just vomited everywhere (crazy guy), Vivian being the stereotypical depressed little sister, everything you write is just so good.

So I might have already said this, but I've been with this story from pretty much around about chapter three. I still remember the day and the location I started reading it.

With really good stories, sometimes something happens and it gets stuck with you for days; when you go to bed you think about it until sleep takes you, weigh up possible outcomes, put the characters in an alternate universe. That sort of thing always happens to me after I've read this. I swear to god you'd better update again this week.

Unless of course, you know, emotional stress. Good luck with that by the way! Keep strong, plenty more fish in the sea - those guys obviously weren't meant for you

Oh man!!! I've been thinking about this fic for a few days, and I seriously think I have fic-updating-senses because I always think of a fic a few days before it updates, it's wonderful. But anyway, I saw an email in my inbox from mibba and thought "man I hope that's for Punch Me, I'd Bleed", and it was and I squealed and hyperventilated. It was the greatest moment of my life. :D

That was, kind of an intense chapter. Shit got real, you know? Marcus had a ~feels epiphany and Jay (kinda- sense he's Marcus-sexual) came out to his mom. Major shit, bro.

I almost died when I saw this was updated, I was/am extremely happy! I loved the way Jay came out and told his mom those things, along with the funny comments his mother made about them being "gay" (even though they're not quite sure what they are). It was funny and really cute in a way. I hope to see another update soon and I'm sorry about the tough time you were having!

Stories like this are the reason I stay on Mibba. Still as in love with this as I was when I first started reading it. Even some of the published books I read can't top what you have created here. Always eagerly awaiting you're next up date! <3

I have an observation, one that I really just noticed:
So, I came to check your status yesterday to make sure you hadn't abandoned us or something and decided to re-read this whole thing.
Well, I just started a few hours ago but my ADD didn't let me get too far, anyway, I realized I had only read the last chapter once. I've read all the other chapters a million times, because I've read this a million times. So I re-read and I flailed and it was perfect.
But anyway, it helped me realize one of the main reasons I fucking LOVE this story. And that reason is that it's not rainbows and unicorns; there are major problems and conflict and it's so real. With a lot of stories the main characters get together and it's happy lalala and then a small problem throws their little world off axis for a few chapters and then it goes back to being happy lalala! But with this there are constant issues and there aren't immediate solutions and Marcus and Jay (and everyone else) have to work that shit out before they can actually begin being really happy with one another.
It's so believable and your characters are so real. It's something I'm usually disappointed about not finding in fics. So kudos to you for keeping this real and believable. :)

And for the record: I really don't get on mibba that much anymore. I just can't find the kind of fic I like reading on this site. This is one of the few stories I still care about from here, and some other stories I read have recently updated and I went to read them and realized they're really nothing special; so I was afraid the same fate would come for this lovely work. But, no such thing happened. I still love this to pieces. I'm not even a big fan on 1st person pov anymore, but this is still in the top of my favourite list. :)

I've been reading this story for a loooong while now, and I've got to say, it's amazing.
I know a lot of people have already said this, but it's so realistic, I feel like everything's actually happening as I read it. Jay's a really weird character. I love him.
I love everyone you've thought up, just, ARGFUGSDB, please please update more often. <3 definitely one of the best stories I'm reading right now.
