How Willow Died - Comments

I've been subscribed to this for probably very well over a year - I've even got comments riddled in here somewhere with everyone else's. I do believe that Willow 2.0 is the best yet! I do hope that she's here to stay though, I can't handle much more of you getting so far and starting over again. I feel like you're playing with my emotions. I still absolutely love the newspaper like intro - very nice touch and I'm glad that you kept it! Anyway, I also have always loved your second person point of view that you've always used with this story. It's different and though people say they usually don't like it, the success of this story makes it undeniable that anything can work of it's done well. The thing is, you've executed this perfectly. The last chapter really got to me, though. I don't remember this in Willow 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7... (Eh, you get the gist, I'm sure. ) It's an interesting revelation and makes me feel even worse for Willow. But the fact that you pointed out that the cancer made Willow strong for her kidnapper made a nice, powerful point. I'm also still very excited to see how this plays out that the summary ties in with the story itself. That's always been my favorite part. ❤July 9th, 2013 at 02:37am

I'm happy I stumbled upon this story! I really like it.
This story is really gripping and I love the short chapters and newspaper pages throughout. It's really nice and adds to how original this story is. I've kind of been searching for realistic stories on kidnapping and all that on Mibba but the ones I find are fan fiction or aren't exactly what I want.
I'm excited to see where this goes because I haven't read anything in it's genre as unique as it.
I really like the layout. The grays work really well together and when it gets to the parts with the newspaper clippings it looks really nice. I'm looking forward to reading the next updates!July 4th, 2013 at 03:42am -

people are saying they are confused, but this is purely a build up of tension and it kinda tells the story in a different way. it's cleverly done, and is more refreshing than just chapter after chapter of sold writing.June 24th, 2013 at 10:14pm

Found this through Comment Swap.
And so far I’m a little confused, since there have been quite a few ‘news clipping’ sections and not a great deal of story writing from what I’ve read so far, and even then the written sections I’ve read have just confused me so far.
The chapters have been fairly short and haven’t really helped to develop the story in a couple of cases, such as the short poem in chapter five (which you said was an intro) which felt a bit like filler. And I kinda stopped reading there. I’m sorry but it’s the truth.
This isn’t my normal sort of story, so the fact I stopped reading is more my fault than your own; well done on what you’ve done so far, and thanks.June 11th, 2013 at 08:02pm -
I'm confused about this chapter.
How is killing a child humane? If it refers to abortion it's not very clear, and even then that's not clearly humane...
Also Anna was the only child of a family who tried 10 years for one, but she still ended up adopted? This isn't making much sense...May 4th, 2013 at 02:16am -
The narration of this piece is perfect.April 23rd, 2013 at 06:21pm
Wow, only after the first official chapter I have subbed and recc'd. This is brilliant. I love that you've kept the newspaper thing - it's one of the few things I actually remember about the story. I love that in the author's notes section, there's this sarcastic, bitter sort of comments and they make me smile even though they're supposed to have the opposite effect. What I mean is, I'm glad that despite what's happened to her, she hasn't lost herself as she's abducted and kept true to her personality. This is so grappling and intriguing and I just want to read more! Your writing is breathtaking and you definitely deserve every rec, sub, readers, etc etc. I absolutely adore this!
