Athena irritated me in this story. I'm the kind of person that will put my friends first and it's shown in the last chapter that her choice was to be with a guy she'd known for less than a year rather than maintaining a friendship with her best friend of over twenty years - and that just didn't sit right with me. Yeah, her and Jordan may have had problems but the last chapter made it seem as though she was fine with throwing away a twenty+ year friendship just to be with a guy.

I'm team Jordan. He tried to protect Athena and help her, especially when it came to Sid - he warned her that Sid would put hockey first and she cried to him when it happened. Jordan seems to think Athena deserves the world and more, and Sid isn't giving that to her so I understand why he's against the relationship. It's just sad to see that even though he was trying to protect her and help her, he lost her to Sid.

My favourite Jordan moment was when he told Sid that Athena deserved so much better than them as it brought to light how much he cared about her (pretty sure this was in the prequel but I didn't comment on that story).

Ok, I know this is long over, but I'm reading this series and dying inside. I'm so Team Jordan (wait, what??? haha), but Sid is just so precious I can't control my feelings. I hope Athena realizes that he has been running from Jordan and her feelings for him (hopefully???) and they reconcile. I absolutely LOVE the way you've written Jared. He might have become my new favorite Staal, just from this story. OK, back to reading now. =)

You would do this to me woman.
I know more drama is going to happen with her mom calling at the end like that. What do you have planned for the next story huh?
I blame you for my lack of sleep.

Great story! I loved it! Team Sid totally won. Just needed to reiterate that. Lol. I'm excited but extremely nervous for the sequel.

Well it certainly seems like everyone has an opinion. That Athena's mom would give hers, not being in contact with her daughter for months is very presumptuous. It almost seems that someone is behind all this. Especially since Amelia was hoping that the photos she forwarded would illicit a specific response from Athena.

I dont get why everyone is doing everything they can to get Jordan and Athena together. No one seems to ask Athena what she wants - and even if they do, they either dont listen to her or assume she doesnt know what she is talking about. She is an adult now and should be given credit for making her own decisions.

Sid and Athena seem happy. I do agree that they moved in together rather quickly, but everything seems to be working. Athena has gone into this with her eyes wide open and understands that Jordan will probably never totally accept she and Sid together. She has factored this in and made her decision.

It is interesting that after 2 months, Heather is still with Jordan - so things must have worked themselves out there too. I will be interested to get more information here in the sequel!!! Yay, Sequel!!

But I tried to access the sequel by the link you provided and got the wrong story. Did I do something wrong?

Loved this story and cant wait to see where you take this next.

Yes, to a sequel! Love it!

No matter what Jordan says, Sid's treating Athena very well, indeed! He's certainly not treating her like a toy he can pick up or drop at his discretion and is planning a future with her. That's more than can be said for Jordan. So, there! :P

If the sequel doesn't involve Athena leaving Sid for Jordan than yes! I'd love that. But Sid has to win in the end. They are so good together and Jordan never deserved her and wah. I want it my way. :(

First of all, I think Heather is right. Sid and Jordan needed to do the "male peacock thing" puffing themselves up in front of the ladies. They needed to quit avoiding the elephant in the room and get it all out.

Jordan has to smarten up and open his eyes. He is making a lot of assumptions about who Athena is. Athena has grown up and changed a lot since she was that little girl Jordan used to take for granted in Thunder Bay. He talks about her "running away" - I think Athena has matured and has learned to deal with things as a grown-up, taking responsibility her life and her feelings - not letting a guy define her. Not any guy...not even Sid!

And as for Sid, he has some things to learn about in terms of relationships - that sometimes the person you love has got to be your priority. Nobody gets it right all the time, and I am sure that he will screw up. But as long as he and Athena keep communicating, as they seem to be, things should work out fine. Yes, a relationship with Sid could be difficult, but Athena has already asserted herself and got her job, and now she is starting to get involved with the Wives Association - I think these things will continue to build her self- esteem, so she wont be as dependent upon Sid. Who knows, maybe Heather will stick around and be a much needed friend for Athena.

As I said before, I have loved your stories. I hate the thought that it could be over - because I think that there are so many stories left to be told here. But it is your story, and I trust that you will make the right decision.

Thank you for sharing this story with us. And if it is the end, it has been a great ride!

Fucking douche. I swear let me run him over with my car, please.
Jerk! Ugh Jordan! Quit being a prick!

Just let her be happy with Sid!
    Jdkwowidjfhchsuevdb Ugh!

    OK I feel better.
    :)
And well, a sequel would depend on where you planned on taking it. You could always make an epilogue chapter.
Idk, if she admits to loving Jordan I might strangle something and then you'd have to make a sequel.
If she stays with Sid, well, Idk Lol. We could follow their lives too I suppose.
Girl you don't make this easy, at all.
