  • Well, Sid does not introduce just anyone to Mario and Nathalie, but it was obvious that he had talked a lot about Athena.

And for Nathalie to ask Athena to be a part of the Wives Association, and for her to agree, says a lot about the status of Sid and Athena's relationship.

But what I like the most is how relaxed they both are in the relationship - they are so comfortable with each other.

I really love your story - and have since Dangerous Light - and look forward to as much as you are able to write!

  • :) You know I love this story! I'm really curious as to what Eric's pissy about... unless Heather has talked to him and he's got the wrong impression that Jordan's kind of with both of them? I don't know!

Loved the comment about the syrup! When you're Canadian and you're going to live in the states... it's basically a necessity to take syrup with you!

And I wish Jordan would stop being a tool and just talk to Athena about all of this! It's killing me!

  • i absolutely love this story :)

  • I am trying to put this all together - but I am thinking that Eric is pissed that 1. He wasnt kept in the loop about Jordan's injury and 2. That Athena is taking advantage of Jordan's "helplessness" and insinuating herself back into his life. But I think that Eric may be jumping to inaccurate conclusions.

Athena is totally there for Jordan - but her motivations are vastly different than what Eric is assuming. It appears she is comfortable being there with Jordan and is trying to help him recover and heal - and I dont think it is just in relation to his hand. She is trying to get him to open up about his feelings, but he is very reluctant to do so.

It still appears that, despite her being there for Jordan, Athena wants to be with Sidney. And the fact that Sid is not getting on her case about her being with Jordan, shows that he is understanding that that is who Athena is - that it is important for her to be there for the people she cares about. But that does not mean that she cares about Sid less.

  • OK well Jordan is still a prick.
I want to slice him with a skate.
    I love Sid.
    um. that's all. :)

  • Jordan just needs to get his head out of his ass and tell her how he feels, but now Heather will be in the picture and make everything even MORE complicated... oi, the things you do to me with this story! Keeping me on my toes and HOPING all the time you've updated! :) But I love this story and wouldn't change it for the world!

  • I am actually surprised that Athena is so torn by what to do - and that Tanya's comment has affected her in this way.

I really thought that while it was important for Athena to be there for Jordan when he needed her, there was never any question as to which way her heart went.

And I agree - Athena trying to get Jordan and Sid back together at this point would be a mistake. It has to come from them - they have to be ready. Otherwise tempers will rise, things will be said, and they will make her chose - ulitmately leaving someone bitterly disappointed.

  • Hmmm. What is she going to do?!
I'm still team Sid. I think.
Yeah, cause I still want to beat Jordan with a stick.

  • It was interesting that Athena phoned Heather. I wonder how much Heather really knows about Athena.
But whatever the case, Heather thought it was important enough to see Jordan that she quit her job to do it. And ultimately, how will Jordan react?

It does seem that Sid is in this for the long haul - he is equating his relationship with Athena the same as Pascal's with his wife. That doesnt sound casual to me. Nor does the way Sid and Athena converse - there is an ease and understanding when both parties are on the same page. And it appears that they are.

I think Jordan may be angry at first about Heather arriving, but I also think he is realizing that Athena is no longer on the string he has had her on for many years. Heather got caught up in his game, but she obviously cares a lot to quit her job to see him. Maybe he will realize that this is what he wants.

    We will see!!

  • Oh, Sid! It's the real thing for him! I hope this means we're going to get inside his head a little more, explore his thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, Athena can return his feelings to the fullest!

Jordan...I don't know. Seems like maybe he just wants what he can't have. :/

  • To know my feelings, just refer to Soupy. She gets me.

Anyway, I loved this chapter. Sid is so good for her and too her. I'm a bit worried about what's going to happen once Heather gets into town but my fingers are crossed that everything will work out. Great update! One of my favorites. Team Sid forever!

  • I think this chapter illustrates the difference in Athena's two relationships. Athena spends the better part of two days at Jordan's side in the hospital. Was Sid happy about it...No. Was he a little jealous...probably. But did he fly off the handle and yell at Athena and then ignore her....No. Sid realized that that is the type of person Athena is - she cares about people - and given the experience she had with her Grandmother, she would not leave Jordan alone in the hospital.

Athena feels responsible for Jordan - just as she did with her Grandmother. And she told him she loved him. But while she has very deep feelings for Jordan, built up over many years, I think it was like she was responding to a scared child - soothing and comforting. When she said she loved Sid as he was leaving, it was sincere and heartfelt.

  • Oh god I can't decide! #Teamjo or #teamsid? Ugh decisions decisions

  • I really like Athena and Sid together. I hope she gives their relationship a fair shot.

As for Jordan, I don't like that he waits until she is with someone else to decide he wants her. Whenever that happens I always feel like it's more about jealousy and control than love.
