Wow, that was funny, cute, and sad all in the same chapter! Like Jo said before me, how much he loved her...Andjust like she's so not "a ma'am"-- James is so not a Jimbo! Ha ha I can totally see he calling him that, however!

The heart strings are really stretched out after this. Oww, it hurts. But I'm glad he went to the fundraiser and into the room. Babysteps.  And don't get me started at Nix. And he or someone HAS to find that perfume, discontinued or not. If there's a will, there's a way.

I posted a comment yesterday but I don't see it here! Stupid phone! Anyway, I agree, fake it till you make it...I hated to be right about him smashing that perfume. Maybe he should try eBay? (I'm serious!) Such a sad chapter...that slide show had to be hard for him. At least he (and Nixon) finally went into Quinn's room. They both now have to confront their feelings on finding it empty (not that James didn't know, you know what I mean!). So sad!!

"Their own gremlins in hand." - Laughed out loud at this. I don't know what gremlins you are talking about.

And I loved Riley's pep talk considering that James needed it. But she's right, he's doing a wonderful job.  And lastly, I'm SO glad James went to the event...And remembered Peyton in the car.

Poor James, he's such a nervous dad! So glad Peyton is finally walking, though! I'm also glad he found the courage to go to the fundraiser at the salon. I think that was a big step in his grieving process. I just hope it's not too much for him. At least he's with friends. Who don't know that he left Peyton in the car for a minute!

I love how James talks to Peyton like a little human adult. Especially when he told her no biting. It would be his kid who had to be told that.

I feel bad for Quinn's parents and I understand where they are coming from and James shouldn't have blown up. But on the same hand, I feel James too. Bumpiest roller coaster ride ever.

PS, damn you for all the emotional feels. The perfume bottle? Dang.

While I get all the anger directed towards Tina and Mark that people are expressing, I feel a little differently.

Tina and Mark have lost a child - something no parent should ever experience. And in the months since Quinn's death, they have obviously taken time to reflect on how they acted in the months leading up - and it appears there is a lot they regret. Whether it was anger at James for taking Quinn from Pittsburgh; anger at Quinn for not "fighting" the disease again; or anger at them adopting a child when Quinn had been so sick - who knows. There are a lot of irrational feelings when you are looking for someone to blame for this terrible thing happening. That is why they came to see James - to maybe make amends and right some of the wrongs and develop a relationship with their granddaughter.

It must have thrown Tina and Mark to see all Quinn's stuff around the house, not to mention seeing James not sleeping and his over the top reaction to his chat with Tina. I am sure they thought he was a little unbalanced. James has soooo much anger and I am sure they felt the best thing would be to take Peyton away for a bit to give him time to deal with it.

And while I definitely feel taking Peyton away would be the wrong thing for Peyton, James does need some time away to actually address his grief. Peyton is James' lifeline - his crutch - they only thing keeping him from totally breaking down. But Peyton cant always be his crutch. It is not healthy. He does have to find a way to deal with Quinn's death, so that he can be the best father he can be. The father Peyton deserves.

Peyton needs stability. Taking her away to a strange place with strange people - even if they are her grandparents - is not what she needs. Maybe they can all find a way to compromise .
