Ughh, the socks, scotch and cookbook!! She probably should have got him cooking lessons too. And don't get me started on the letter.

And Snoop is cheating on me with Taya. That's pretty rude.  But those two are lovely creatures. Poor Nix.

As usual, as I re-read this, more things jump out at me. Did anyone else want to cry over the bedding? I know that feeling. Really, you WANT to keep the person that close, but to actually smell their perfume, aftershave, whatever, it's just too painful. My heart broke for him, I'm sure he totally regretted it later, but he was just too distraught to think straight...Why do I read this at work? Because I'm a glutton for punishment. And because I'm totally obsessed with this story. HELP!!

PS -- Thanks, @Thatmom. I had the same thought about your previous comment about having to read this one when nobody else is around!

I managed not to cry through sheer willpower and the knowledge that my husband is in the next room. Oh my gosh, so sad...the card for Peyton broke my heart, as did Nixon. SO beautifully written. You can feel their grief... Poor James...

Leave it to Quinn to leave him little presents, though! That was funny in the midst of all that sadness... I'll get my tissues ready for next time...

I can't read this when other people are around. The emotions are just so beautiful and bittersweet.

Peyton has my heart!! She's the sweetest. And James with her, trying to do it all for her, so sweet. Can't wait to see where you take this one!

Peyton has my heart if her favorite word is no. Guess who else's favorite word was no when they forst started talking. This girl!

I'm glad James knows to wash the baby. Hopefully he washes her hair (when she has it) because we both know his hair washing habits.

"I hoped that if I brought the food you'd cook for both of us." - He must have a death wish. He's clearly new.

Peyton has Quinn's sass and I love it. But baby steps, James. You'll figure it out.

Of course I should've waited to comment until I re-read the chapter, but oh my gosh, he's sleeping in the guest room...even Nixon is still upset...oh great, now *I'm* crying again...

Oh, yes, this is just as sad...in a different way, maybe, but I'm standing here at my laptop crying just the same...I cannot get that lyric on the cover page out of my mind...yes, I need a life!!

Oh wow...so sad...poor James. I know, so hard and awful for Quinn, that isn't how I meant it! But poor James having to pick up the pieces...I hope some of the flashbacks are happy. I need to see them happy sometimes! Crap, I'm just going to go cry now! Great job, though. Can't wait for more!
