What Ifs and Whatnots
What if my day had started with some nice weather?
What if my intentions hadn’t been questioned by town officials?
What if they had believed my reply of travelling for trade?
What if I hadn’t been thrown out of the small town that was barely bigger than the previous village I’d walked through?
What if I hadn’t fallen down the steep ravine?
What if I hadn’t landed on someone’s tent?
What if I hadn’t had to run for my life?
What if I hadn’t failed to realise that the reason why the men trying to kill me had stopped chasing because something far more perilous lay ahead?
Well there wouldn’t be anything to tell you for starters.
