"....Last night in the suburbs of San Diego another brutal murder accrued at around 3:15 this morning, the whole family were killed. This was the 3rd murder like this this month and 17th this year, and in the past 8 years of these murderers, there was only one child who survived; Victor Fuentes back in 2005...."
It was an unsolvable case, they've come up with many different theories, animal attacks, freak accidents, suicide, and even vampires.
