This is my favourite book of all time,
I love Alex to death, he's so naive, he doesn't have a clue how nearly everyone around him are extorting him and how shallow he is.
I find it cute, there must be something wrong with me.

It's kinda like 1984, there are a lot of paralles with what happens in the book and now.
I got so into this book I read it again as soon as I finished it the first time and I did a presentation about it for college.

I'm currently reading it. I'm really easily distracted so this isn't the easiest book to read since I have to keep track on what's going on and at the same time try to understand the slang. I like it so far though. Dim's definitely my favorite character.

But it was brilliant. Cheese How he managed to come up with that and stick to it throughout the enitre book, and make it very enjoyable is just genius.

Agreed! It gives the book something extra but at the same time it's so damn annoying!

One of my favourite books :D :D :D
I read the first few chapters with a dictionary I printed out lmfao But you soon get used to it tehe

My friends and I dressed up as ~droogs~ for World Book Day last year... ah, the looks on the teachers' faces tehe

But yeah, an amazing book... I just love it for how original and different it is, and the ending is awesome :D Soo much better than the ending to the film, imo, though they do capture the atmosphere really well in the film. (the ending to the real version of the book, I mean - I didn't even know there was another version till I read this thread :') )

Oh my the book was just brilliant and the movie was absolutely amazing Very Happy
I read the entire book yesterday, and then watched the movie - then read all about it and watched interviews and the lot. I've gotten so into it - it's scary. I would have to say that it is, without a doubt, one of my favourite books and movies. I loved it so much and now, I don't know what to do with myself Sad

I've read the book, but have yet to see the film. I read the version with the 21st chapter in it, and believe you me, it wouldn't have been the same without it. I heard this part isn't in the film, but I can't say for sure, since I haven't seen it. I loved the way is was written in Nadsat. I used context clues to figure out what was going on. I tried to get a friend of mine to read it and she couldn't stand it because of the Nadsat (she also kept jokingly calling it Nadsack). I remember we tried to start a trend trying to make it cool to use the word "horrorshow" the way the book did.

Alex is one of the few villains I don't completely hate for being evil. The book actually portrays him as the protagonist, and the government as the antagonist, which I find interesting.

Btw, did anyone see that episode of Regular Show that featured a unicorn that was dressed like a droog? Seeing that almost gave me a heart attack. Just knowing that mainstream-ish culture is referencing ACO makes me so happy.
