For serious. When I read that it made me really mad.
He could have just been like, 'Hey, Emelie, I'm sorry I'm a fucking dickhead, but you look really underweight right now and I'm worried as fuck because I know it's my fault'. At this point, I'm thinking it's John, as you may guess.
Because I think Pat's too sweet, and he hasn't seen her. And we don't know if the other guys had seen her yet. Maybe they were somewhere near when she was shopping and that's why, but I doubt that. I think they wouldn't be as harsh with her.
I feel really bad for Emelie. She's just in this awful situation and John is so not helping and I think she really needs someone to be there for her. Her mother is trying to be detached enough so she won't have to suffer with her daughter's eating disorder, and John just is being a butthead right now.
I really loved this update. It wasn't a filler.

Wow. Reading this just breaks my heart. I'm seriously so hooked, it's ridiculous.
And please, please, please tell me that text was not from John. I'll cry. Or scream. Idk, I probably won't do either of those actually, but mentally, crying and/or screaming will happen.

Seriously, you portray her so well, how her thoughts go to her weight in the middle of entire thoughts, like out of nowhere, just like they would happen in real life. It's fantastic, I can't even describe to you.

John and Emelie's relationship makes me sad. She cares so much about what he thinks of her, and I want to think that he really does care about her, but I just feel like he has the shittiest way of showing it. But even then, obviously he does care about her a lot, just because of his reaction. If he didn't care about her, he wouldn't get so mad and have such a harsh reaction to how she looks.
I feel really bad for her mother, too, because she really can't do all that much when Emelie is so manipulative and persistent and not willing to change.
And I love Pat in this. He's just really clueless and oblivious, and that's all going to be ruined once John tells him "oh, hey, remember my dick move those years ago? well it's came back to bite me in the ass because now the girl I love has a fucking eating disorder and it's all my fault 'cause I'm a prick". (Yes, I'm certain that's how he's going to explain seeing her).
This wasn't boring.
I half expect the boys to all group together in this intervention and invade her house, forcing her to look in her mirror and see what she's doing to herself while they tell her how they love her and how they're scared for her and how they think she's pretty and don't want her to continue this bad habit. But I know you won't let things be so easy.
