Eric Jensen is a senior at Jefferson High School. In November of 1997, troubled student Benjamin Murdoch brought a shotgun to school, killing nine students, two teachers, and finally himself. Still devastated years later, the school struggles to cope with this part of its history. Eric knows the story as well as any other kid at the school, but when he meets a strange young man named Skylar Mitchell, he realizes that a shooting at Jefferson High might not necessarily be a thing of the past.

Soon, Eric realizes that he’s in way too deep, and he doesn’t know if he’s going to be able to save many innocent lives. To make matters worse, there’s something incredibly strange about Skylar.
