Her father was a wise, wise man. He was gentle and kind. He always gave her the best advice. But the one piece of information that he had given her as a small child - that she remembers perfectly to this day - is what he had told her, on his death bed, when she was just four years old. He told her:

“Camilla-Rey Verano, mi hija, mi querido, mi sol, y mi luz de las estrellas. Sé que es jóvenes quietos de comprender. Pero recuerda este mi estimado. Encuentre a un hombre que adorará usted, como te quiero. Encuentre a un hombre que hará usted sonríe, y nunca parada. Encuentre a un hombre que usted, sin duda alguna, se moriría para - y él, para usted. Prométame, Camilla. Encuentre a un hombre que mucho tiempo después este día, yo estaría orgulloso tener a mi hija en el casamiento. Alguien, yo puedo llamar a mi hijo, y la mirada sobre de las puertas del cielo, como mirará sobre usted.”

Translation to English: “Camilla-Rey Verano, my daughter, my darling, my sunshine, and my starlight. I know you are still young to understand. But remember this my dear. Find a man that will love you, as I have loved you. Find a man that will make you smile, and never stop. Find a man that you, without a doubt, would die for - and he, for you. Promise me, Camilla. Find a man that long after this day, I would be proud to have my daughter in marriage. Someone, I can call my son, and look upon from the gates of heaven, as he will look upon you.”

And so Camilla-Rey Verano took her father’s advice. She searched. She waited. She wished upon stars and stars. For nineteen years, in her home of Madrid, Spain. Until her wishes had come true. For she met the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with…unluckily for her, he was not ready to settle down.

He was on top of the world. He was everything…He is, Cristiano Ronaldo.

New story!

Okay so I play football. I enjoy it, I’ve played since I was like six years old. And I even have the football channel on my TV just so I can keep up with Club football in Europe. Needless to say I’m a fanatic. I’m not so much into MLS though, American “soccer” isn’t as exciting. For American sports, I’d rather watch basketball or American football on ESPN. Haha

Anyway…with the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and all the hype about the sport increasing, I figured why not write a story about one of my favorite footballers. The very handsome, very talented, Cristiano Ronaldo. And though Portugal did not make it very far in the World Cup, Real Madrid is still my number one club team. (And just a little side-note, Spain totally deserved to win! Especially after the Dutch decided to play dirty and yellow card every two seconds! Lol.)

So here is my attempt at a footballer story. And sorry, if any of you actually speak Portuguese or Spanish and the translations are wrong. I’m just using a translator, and the little Spanish I know :D haha
