Dancing Through Life; Trying to Hide in the Shadows.

I sighed angrily as the computer froze for the 10th time in the last 2 hours. I gave up trying check my e-mail and shut off the device, roughly pushing my fingers through the rib length mass of brown wavy, curl things that I call my hair.

I had just walked out of the computer room when my cell phone went off. Glancing at the caller I answered, "Hey Jen."

"Hi Keri! I have great news!"

I grinned at my social workers enthusiasm,"Well, what is it woman?"

"Someone is interested in adopting you!" My heart stopped and I nearly dropped the phone.

"What?" I couldn't believe what I had just heard. Did someone really want to call me their daughter?

"Keri, someone wants to adopt you. His name is Will Schuester. He's single, and teacher from Lima, Ohio and he wants to meet you."

"When?"

"Now? I'm gonna come pick you up."

"See you soon Jen," I trailed off. I barely heard her say bye before hanging up. Still in shock, I pushed my phone into the empty space in my pocket and took a deep breathe. I was so close to having a family again.
