The story of Dani Tumelty, a 17-year-old girl recovering from spending a year looking after her suicidal best friend, Grace. Due to Grace's dependency on her, Dani has lost all sense of who she is and has trouble dealing with everyday life. As she begins her senior year, she isn't sure what to expect. But after meeting a boy who has already learned to embrace and love life, she begins to follow his lead.
