Charlotte Roxanne McKnight is just your average girl. Or so you'd think. All her life she's been pushed around by her mother. Pushed around? More like abused. When Charlotte was a little girl, her parents split up and left her to a life of Hell. Now that her mother is out of rehab for drug and alcohol abuse and back home with Charlotte, she starts harming herself, thinking that if she becomes a pain junkie, she'll feel no pain.
Will the one boy she absolutely despises be able to save her before things go overboard?

Pheobe Michelle Garcia has had a pretty normal life. Except the fact that her parents were gone most of it. Either at work or on business trips, her parents were too busy for their children's lives. Pheobe's brother was so depressed and neglected that he committed suicide and Pheobe automatically blamed herself for it. She has never gotten over it, and she doesn't think right anymore.
Will her best friend be able to save her before she follows in her brother's footsteps?
