For Alice Tanoue, family was all she had, and it wasn't much. When that starts to deteriorate, she's left picking up pieces of an imperfect life, but she comes out ahead- a group of really hot Japanese guys decide to be her friend.

All is well, for a while. But between an immensely powerful being and a low-key government-affiliated agency, her life gets complicated again. She is torn between two opposite and flawed worlds, and she can't stay on the fence forever.

Because of her friends and her follies, she sees into the depths of herself. Sometimes horrified, sometimes triumphant, but always sarcastic, Alice must keep her head if she wants any answers.

It's rated R for language, sexual themes in general, alcohol/drug reference, graphic violence, extensive sexual innuendo, and ideology that most people under the age of 16 won't understand.
