Calyx Richardson is a very special girl. Even though she has been mute since the age of twenty-one, she is the one person who holds the key to preserving the Realm of Monsters. Matt Sanders, the ruler of the Realm, will stop at nothing to have Calyx as his queen. He kidnaps Calyx from the human world and takes her to the Realm and keeps her from the life she had in the human world, as well as her boyfriend Jimmy and son Ryder. For three years, Calyx becomes the queen of the Realm of Monsters, and all is going to Matt's plan until Jimmy decides to fight back against the ruler of the monsters.
