Melissa Marie Jones has had a hard life since her dad/ best friend left her life at such a young age. Throughout her life without her best friend she's been anti-social and hasn't made friends, until her junior year she meets new friends and possibly one hater. As people start welcoming her as a friend she tries her best to cover marks from her step-dad and secrets that none of her friends have experienced. But as she starts to open to her friends Alex Gaskarth feels like if Melissa is making up lies so people can feel sorry for her and become friends. Melissa can't prove to Alex that her life is mess up or else. Alex tends to call out Melissa numerous times until he finds out the truth the hard way.
