Gerard is a typical angsty fifteen year old looking for a 'release', hormonally so to speak. Mikey is his eleven year old brother, again, typical for his age, obsessed with his Sega and rather unaware of the dangers of the world around him. When the power goes out on a stormy night, Gerard looses his means of finding his 'release' and Mikey looses his nerve due to his phobia of storms. In Gerard's attempt to obtain his goal and Mikey's need to feel secure, Mikey's innocence is lost and Gerard learns how much he loves control, and with the perfect brother to have it over. The story escalades into thier young adult years peaking about twelve years after the first chapter.
