Ever thought that Mikey and Ray seem distant?
There is a reason for that. You see they were together once before they had a bad break up. No real victim of it and nobodies fault but it was just a mess for them both. It made things awkward between them so a replacement guitarist was found and Ray was set to leave the band.
However when he played with Frank to teach him the songs it was decided the sound was better with two so Ray stayed. Only Gerard knew of the relationship as the two had never confided in Matt so only he knew of the trauma these two felt every day. They could only talk to Gerard or each other about their daily heart ache.
