When her mother dies, Evangeline, or "Ellie" is forced to take a trip back to her home town in Georgia, a place she swore she'd never come back to. While she's back, she must sell her childhood home and arrange for the funeral, all while her husband, Jesse, remains in New York.
During her stay, Ellie starts to remember the town she once loved, and the people she's grown to miss. One of those people being her childhood friend, Daryl Dixon. Once she crosses his path, there's no going back, and she soon has to make a tough decision; to stay in her mediocre marriage in a big beautiful house in New York, or move back to Georgia and take a chance on the man she loved as a teenager.
