Ruki has always been special to her. Every song he's written has somehow managed to touch on the difficulties in her life, and every performance he's ever given has only strengthened her theory on him- he's only looking for happiness, like her, and he just hadn't found it yet, just like her.
But as a teenage girl dying from the disease called cancer, Maddie almost knows that she will never be truly special to him.
