Ellory's mother started the bookstore that he now owns and operates. He lives a relatively solitary life in a small town outside of New York City, but he's happy. He loves going to work every day and couldn't think of a better way to spend his time than reading and giving the community around him the chance to enrich their lives with books as he did when he was younger.
