Kate Maden falls in love with a girl over the Internet when she is 16 years old, they have a very close relationship with each other that could be called love. Suddenly the other girl disappears from the Internet and Kate is so broken up about it, she writes a book about the two girls journey through love on the Internet. Kate's main reason for writing the book, is so see if the missing Internet girl will appear in the end and complete Kate's happy ending, but as she struggles to pull through interviews with questions such as "Have you ever been in love?" Kate must now face the press and the paps who are also trying to uncover Kate's connection with the book, will Kate come clean, and will the Internet girl appear? or will the press discover everything and ruin Kate's chances and ever getting the girl to come out on her own.
