Time Heals All Wounds

I'd been living my life for five years without him. I was managing. I was happy. I told everyone who may have asked that I was over him and that if he were to walk in the door at that very second, I would be perfectly fine and politely smile in his general direction before going about my business. Yes he did hurt me, but time heals all wounds right?

I believe the correct phrase to be used instead of that would be Time Heals most wounds, but obviously not mine.... or his.
