Good Love
“Jared,” Annie said into the phone. “Can I come home? Please?”
“You want to come home? As in, Tempe?”
“Yes.” She let out a ragged breath. “Can I stay with you?”
“Why? Annie, what’s wrong?” her brother asked, his voice raising.
“I just need you, Jared. I’ll tell you when I get there,” she said, a hot tear running down her cheek.

- prologue.
- i'm sinking like a stone in the sea.
- tell me all i'm seeing is your ghost again.
- the haze clears from your eyes.
- planet earth turns slowly.
- the flames are getting out of control.
- baby, seasons change but people don't.
- when she walks, her footsteps sing a reckless serenade.
- darling, be human.
- somebody save me.
- the atlantic was born today.
- have no fear, dear.
- here's a sad song for you, my love.
- talk to me, i'm torn.
- rose petal on a grave.
- she was young, and her daddy didn't warn her.
- if it makes you less sad, i will die by your hand.
- nobody likes you when you're twenty-three.
- sweet and low, little girl.
- you're gonna go far, kid.
- my, my, my, what fangs you have.
- 'til the walls cave in.
- money, cars, fear of the dark.
- i'm a sea that nothing floats on.
- jesus christ that's a pretty face.
- i'm your heart when it rains.
- you are the one who colors me.
- untangle me.
- silence drips into your heart through a pinhole.
- I wanna be where your heart is home.
