A war is raging in the Realme of Magyk, a war so powerful it could wipe out half the planet... and affect the Earth in its wake.
The Queen of Shadows, nicknamed the Black Widow, is after an artifact so powerful she will do anything in her power to get it -including destroying the world. The forces of Lyte are doing all they can to stop her, but they're fighting a losing battle.
In an attempt to change the tides of war, the Faerie Queen sends out scouts to the human Realme, in search of strong Magyk users to add to their forces. One of these scouts, Artemis, finds a girl unaware of her power. This girl, Max, is more than they could have hoped for -an extremely powerful user that has the potential of single-handedly defeating the Widow.
The Black Widow has sent her troops to intercept the queens scouts and take the Magyk users for herself. One of these troops is Dante, Art's brother.
Everything depends on Max, will she be able to save the world?
