Seventeen year old Braylin Kennedy needed what her father called, a "new start." They move to a small reservation in Washington called La Push. Why do they need a "new start"? Braylin's mother committed suicide no even a month ago. And ever since then, it hasn't been the same.
Everything got worse, and things changed. Not only did Braylin have to suffer the agonizing loss of her mother, and the fact that her father finds it best that Braylin suffer from kicks and punches. But the worst change of all?
Meeting Jacob Black.
