This story is about a 15 year old Laila Vasser. Her mother had died when she was jsut a kid and before she even saw it coming, her father wed another woman just a few years later. Laila struggles through the battle of welcoming her new stepmother into the family. Things get worse when Laila finds out her dad has lost his job and can not afford for her to go to the Art Academy Summer Program she has been dreaming to go to for forever. Before she knows it, she's falling for someone she can't have...Or can she?
