Kimberleigh is a seventeen year-old orphan. From the time she was two days-old, she has lived in an orphanage. At seventeen, Kimberleigh has given up all hope of ever being adopted.

Realizing this, Kimberleigh leaves for Los Angeles, hoping that she might be able to find her birth parents. While doing this Kimberleigh finds a dead girl lying on the side of the road: her twin sister. To get to know her parents, Kimberleigh takes her sister's place.

Kimberleigh soon discovers that her twin sister is girlfriend to Nick Jonas, part of a band she utterly despises. How can she continue masquerading as her dead twin sister when she hates Nick and his brothers SO much?
