Long ago, back when the Assyrians ruled, a distant relative of mine got a curse placed on him. No one could look into his eyes, for if they did then they would die a most horrible death. Over a thousand years later, the curse is still running in my family.
My name is Gerard Arthur Way and I'm the boy with the curse.

I've learned quickly that family sucks. That's why I'm moving to Newark, New Jersey. New school, new friends, everything. I never thought I'd meet the mysterious boy named Gerard Way. The boy with the hidden eyes. I plan to find out why he wears them.
