Sell Your Soul

Charlie sat across the bar, his chin resting on his balled up fist. The girl looked barely old enough to drink, if she wasn't getting in on fake ID. She slammed back a third shot, and she closed her eyes. Charlie tapped the bar, and the bartender approached him.

"Jordan?" he asked. "What can I get you now?"

"Buy her a beer for me, will you?" replied Charlie.

"Will do, sir," said the bartender.

A moment later, when the bartender was handing the girl a drink, the girl looked down the bar at Charlie. She giggled and waved. Charlie nodded back. He just hoped he hadn't started something.
