Autumn-October 'Tobi' Chevalier was known around town as the polite girl with a bitter sweet life. With her knack for classical arts and passion edgy things, Tobi keeps her feet rooted stiffly to the ground as she allows her mind to wander to darker places. She had lived in Forks for most of her short life, but feels as if her hometown isn't as it seems to the others. She's never had a boyfriend, but she has a few 'secrets' that only Ruby and past mistakes know about.

Ruby Charleston was a wild child living an even wilder life. Her early childhood had been almost perfect before her parents died in a tragic accident, yet now she lives with her aunt and uncle who'd rather have nothing to do with the young girl. With her home life in the ruins, her relationship with her current boyfriend is not better. His controlling nature is constantly held over Ruby's defiant head which causes major bumps any progress.

Both girls love each other like sisters and would do anything for the other; with this in mind, what lengths will they go to, to keep the other happy when two strange pale boys walk into their lives?
